    I'm aware of how much the economy has tanked, but more to the point, I'm sure you can find an AR upper for under $700 at a show, and you can probably find an identical (if not the same) upper online for $300-400.

    Full disclaimer - I haven't been to a gun show for roughly a decade. The last few I went to were complete ripoffs as I noted above with the ridiculous markups. For that reason, I have no intention to visit one in the future. There are better deals to be found online, generally with better customer service. Same goes for most brick and mortar stores. Unless it requires a 4473, it's being bought online.

    Might be a while before I get a chance to shoot. The weather has been and is going to be pretty shitty for a while. I’m also getting ready to have an auction for my dad,he’s got 3 garages full of stuff. Everything that I have read on the 3rd Gen Panzer’s has been good.

    Idk why he’d think that you’d “need” a stamp, he may not be implying that at all.... But the gun was designed to give you the option of submitting for approval to cut the barrel off at the handguard. (SBS)

    I was assuming you got the NR variant so you could cut the exposed barrel off to make a SBS (after you got your stamp, of course). NR stands for NFA Ready. I guess I shouldn’t assume
