Which OME coils did you go with?

ome 880 because pre runner, no front dif n all (n no CV's to worry about)

also should have noted I added an extension to lengthen the driveline to make up for the added lift (as opposed to a dif or CB drop). Wanted to keep the angles more or less the same as stock - granted its rwd

Awesome truck, @Ben_B_Rad. I get lusty thoughts whenever I see a regular cab. If you have manual hubs, don’t worry about your CV angles.

Ahh gotcha! Interested to see how much lift you have in front after the body lift is out. Wheeler’s suggested I go with 880s up front. The back end looks about as high as when I first installed my Dakar’s:

    Your truck definitely looks good!

did you run into issues before the extension? I have 881s up front, Dakars w/AAL and chose to go with OME's Nitros... no changes to the driveline and no issues. Just curious what led you to do the extension.

Lift looks good on your runner... nice job!

I really need to complete my 4Runner Wheel project. I have 4 of those sitting in boxes. Just need to re-finish and get them on the truck. Love those wheels!

    Thank you!
Had slight drive line vibration at 20-25mph with the AAL
Could have been because I lifted the rear first, without doing the front.. and i dang near got 2.5" of lift when I added the leaf.

Was looking into carrier bearing drop to help straighten things out but thought was lengthening the driveline was the way to go to keep the angles more or less the same and add length to make up for the added lift.

    Runs very nice now
The 880 coils on the new shocks are very nice, million times better than I had before. She eats up big bumps very nicely. I don't think I would have done anything different

Quick question, I have nitro chargers with about 27k miles on them, had some TJM coils installed at the same time but they are already sagging like crazy. I’m looking at getting new coils and a Dakar pack with AAL but not sure if I should get new shocks as well? Do my shocks have a lot of life left in them? Will the ride be comprimised with out getting new shocks? Any input is appreciated!

Half the body lift is out! Those bolt were super rusted. Only took 3 hours to get out 5 bolts and drill and tap the other.

    “Custom” license plate location :notsure:

Can’t wait to get the cab mounts off. It’s pretty difficult to get in and out of this thing.

@ $320 for a pair of new nitros (wheeler's list price), yeah - I'd be wondering as well. Honestly, I dont think anyone can really answer that question but you. Have they taken a punishment? Any signs of leaking at all? Funky tire wear? Front end dip significantly when braking? If you can't say for certain or not - perhaps a local shop can check them... It's more money to replace them but if you are throwing on dakars and new coils, might as well do the shocks.

How many people have had problems with blown inner CV boots? My old ones were hard as a rock and blew within a week after lift. Got some CVJ CVs with high angle boots, and my passenger inner has torn within probably 5k miles. The angle doesn’t even look bad, the fins aren’t even touching.

2004 DCSB TRD. Stock except for the Leer topper & LineX spray in bedliner. Spreadsheet said I have at least 460lb in the back every day when I stopped counting.

Had considered 5100s + AAL, but... pay once, cry once I've heard it said. Planning a full OME lift with 882's, Nitrocharger Sports, Dakars + D43XL extra leaf. Later I hope to add a bumper, winch, and sliders, some skid plates, but I'd prefer to mount the winch on a tray that can plug in a front receiver hitch or the rear.

What things do I definitely need, what can wait, or aren't really needed? For example, i read one opinion that a diff drop only angles the diff down and, as a result, doesn't really do anything. Are the greasable shackles recommended? Etc etc.

    Thx.
