Damage to gas tank

Holy shit, that's close. Bolt is too long and has been gouging out a nice chunk of the fuel tank. I'm assuming backing it out and using spacers will take care of it.

 

Is the factory spring doing that?

 

Factory setup or aftermarket leafs?

Bolt is in backwards. Head is suppose to be towards tank.

 

I'm sorry, no it's the icon leaf pack .don't worry about your factory springs but it's something to look at for lift guys or anybody I guess

Looks like an easy mistake especially if it’s a long day of modding... luckily it’s also an easy fix!

OP- I’m sure you already plan to but, some epoxy or fiberglass patch is def a good idea.

 

At least you noticed before it was punctured. How long did it take for that to happen?

 

If that was OEM, Toyota would say this is normal.
