Well...it doesn’t threaten my manhood to admit I love the look of the 3rd Gen Tacoma, and although it is a truck, and a capable vehicle, I wouldn’t be as attached to my Taco if it looked like ass.

You'll be able to walk right up and singe the skin right off your leg. Tail pipes out the rear is so silly. They should be to the side where they belong.

I like the new Ram tailgate. Not enough for the price though ($900).

The gimmicks and luxury features they keep adding to trucks is now beyond a joke. It's a truck. :poking:

Do those pipes sound as good as the Tundra TRD Pro exhaust atleast.

What does it being a truck have to do with anything?

It’s a truck. A truck is meant to do work, haul stuff, etc. If you want luxury go buy a luxury car. People want all these features, but then turn around and bitch how much new trucks cost.

You realize it's not the 40's anymore, right? These aren't farm equipment. Trucks, for probably 95% of buyers, are not for work. If you don't like all the new tech being put in trucks, then don't buy loaded trucks. Problem solved.

I didn't say that it doesn't. I was talking about the tailgate which drives the cost up even more than they already cost. It's just something else to drive up the price.

As silly as the tailgate may be, you don't have to buy the option if you don't want it.

Thankfully Toyota has been hanging onto their lower optioned configs trims, Utility pack & SR, a bit longer than most other brands.

Not for 2020 but I think the next Tacoma may have some of the Hilux styling cues. Just look at the styling of the Ridgeline, the Ranger, and what the Ram is starting to morph into. The more rounded, less macho look is now in. I can't see Toyota looking to stick out all that much from what the crowd is now looking like.
I don't think the Hilux looks all that bad. With some tweaks it could look quite good.
