i like my manual seat 2019.....no electrical shit to break....that is why i like and bought the tacoma. tried and true and minimal electronics ....well as minimal as can be...i could care less about all the toyota sense and radar cruise

Wouldn't mind being able to raise the seat a bit. I've been debating on getting that spacer kit - even being an average 6'0, feel like I'm riding low in the seat.

 

In the long term yes.

Short term not so much.

 

I never really understood why people were obsessed over power seats until I bought this truck. When driving I'm either too close to the steering wheel or too far from the pedals. Power seats would give me the option to pick exactly where I want to be. Same thing on the passenger side when a rear facing car seat is installed.

 

I am glad my truck has a key for the ignition instead of that push button start, less shit to break.

 

The seat will have height adjustment. However you won’t be able to lower it any from the factory position. Perhaps they change the starting position a little bit I doubt it. Now under the seat will be the motor. It’s not like the Tacoma seat sit in some 12” riser and have a ton of room under neath them. They are basically on the floor as it is.

 

Actually ignition switches fail at a a lot higher rate then push button switches. Especially when people have 10lbs of shit on their key rings. Most newer ignition switches are lower current so the contacts hold up better. But there is still a lot of wear from key insertions of the tumbler and cycling of the key.

 

Agreed. Had to replace my ignition switch on my 2001 Tacoma at 217K miles.

I have had push button starts on my other cars since 2001 (S2000) and some very high mileage, not a SINGLE failure.

 

First 20 I see is going to get the power seats jacked! I will of course put in my 17 seats (in trade) but can you imagine the look on his face when he gets in

 

I could see having an issue if you had a bunch of shit hanging on your key ring, I have never had to change one out though.

 

Probably not that, either. You just meet someone new and it starts over...

Well there are some guys that feel they need to carry every key they have ever had their entire life with them everyday on their key ring. And it weighs 8lbs (literally). I try to carry as minimal as shit as possible. Not only because of that but I hate having things in my pockets or on me
