Just need to find someone with a garage, or maybe I'll just pay some labor because I'm lazy.

Anyone here running the new 87 tune? All that is available to me is 87 or 90. Is there torque lower down with 87? I have heard a lot of great reports in 91 but haven’t read much on 87. I am constantly reading this thread. I have the updated tsb and am wanting to know if there is a big difference and worth the jump. Thanks!

@OVTune any update on when you’ll be addressing tickets? I sent out an email requesting tune file for the new truck several days ago- just curious and excited :D

no man, just pay good attention to the feeling from the rear of your truck, especially on road. you'll notice all kinds of movement and vibration. i like to get it coming mostly from the tires and the road, and some from chassis flex. but the noise and and slop from weak equipment i don't need. you decide what matters to you for how you drive.

There is a huge difference from the TSB to 1.05 87. Well worth making the jump

I had been into my second tank of gas on 1.05 and I was going to flash back to 1.04 when I refueled because of reduced mileage, (low to mid 18's). (Full transparency, I also wanted to go back and compare throttle response and rev hang more closely). This is about the time when the recommendation for the battery disconnect came out. I had planned to do the battery disconnect when I flashed back. However, the mileage and power started to return in last 1/4 tank. This was enough for me to stick with 1.05 for a little while longer. I am now 100 miles into my 3rd tank of 1.05 without a battery disconnect, and things are started to look up. Power is less of a measurable for me since my commute has few hills and I don't carry heavy payloads on a regular basis. But, now the tank average is up 21.5MPG which is good, even for me. Winter gas on 1.04 had me at high 19's low 20's. (Stock gears and tires, 40 miles each way commute, 10 miles in town/30 miles open road, 55 MPH max speed on open road). I am sure the battery disconnect will perform as attested by so many others, but stubbornness and waiting it out has seemed to reap rewards for me.

I got the SL, but the E rated was $162. Still way cheaper than K02, ridge grapplers, or ST maxx. No way ill ever need the 10ply and the extra weight would make the truck slower and less fuel efficient.

I have Goodyear Wrangler Ultraterrain AT tires, SL, 265/70r16, and they're excellent; I definitely recommend them. But you'll pay a bit more per tire than the Wildpeaks. Discount Tire has the Ultraterrains for $169 each if I remember correctly.

Just flashed my truck today, I’m blown away and I only drove it for like 4 minutes! It’s like ECT mode on crack for the MT

Thank you Mat. I already enjoyed this truck and didn’t realize how much the stock tune neutered this thing. And I’m only on the 87 tune right now!
