Doooo iiittt. A set of wheels with snow tires and a jack to change them is plenty for the stock class and theres about 50 million Subaru guys that show up, so if anything breaks, theres plenty of knowledge around to fix it.

Whenever I replace my utterly shitty headlights, I’m going to replace them with these, and drop in some Kensun HID bulbs.

This is in my subie but you get the idea. Look at the lack of hot spot on the LED.

I feel very strongly that it should be illegal to run HIDs in halogen housings. I have been doing a lot of my driving at night over the past two years and i’m absolutely done with all the assholes with 6k HIDs running around scattering light all the way to the fucking moon not doing anyone any good.

Supposedly, SUPPOOSEDLY, they don’t do as bad in projector housings...but the blue color is still awful.

I agree. My subie has projectors, but they're halogen projectors. I run HID in them anyways and it still maintains a nice cut off. Same with Tylers 4runner (halogen projectors with HID) and it's not obnoxiously bright at all.

edit: That's why I run 4300k because I hate the blue. Though 5000k is a little more pure white.

I see. I have LED H10s in my fogs. They are retardedly bright and have no cut off but they are aimed down so they bring no complaints

its all in the optics. ive seen some blinding like the sun LED's with good optics, and some supposedly more powerful chips that were dimmer because of poor optics in the light.

It actually is illegal.... theres no DOT approved LED or HID lights for halogen housings. But, the onus is on local and state police to enforce it, and they usually have bigger fish to fry.
