Aftermarket Interior LED Bulbs Fitment

Has anyone else tried to replace your map or dome light bulbs in your Toyota? I’m wondering if anyone else has run into issues trying to make them fit.

I have a 2018 Tacoma, but had the same issue with my wife’s 2010 FJ Cruiser.
The aftermarket dome light bulb is shaped a little different, and acts like it’s too long.
On the map light bulbs, the plastic is too thick to fit into the socket.

I ended up using a Dremel and modifying the bulbs to make them fit, but it sucks I even need to. Curious if anyone else has run into this issue.

As luck would have it, I have given up on the stock interior lights...old eyes and dim bulbs are a bad combination. My mission tonight is to find some new bulbs

There have been a couple postings on the "What have you done to your 3rd Gen today?" thread, but of course i can't find them, now that I need them

Meso Customs is the Guru, and his LED replacements turn night into day...alas, he also sells out within minutes...

I do recall that Amazon sells a couple 'kits', looking for those as we speak...as well, Superbrightleds has (apparently) direct replacements

I haven't heard of anyone having issues with either Superbright or Amazon....

Someone else suggested a seller on eBay who he says he had great luck with. I saved that just in case. Either way, mine are installed now, but that doesn’t mean I might not need them in the future.
