Tacos with Weathertech may find this interesting or useful.
Added a fender clip to always keep in place.
    A small simple mod, makes a big difference. 20190206_125139.jpg 20190206_125149.jpg 20190206_125200.jpg 20190206_125221.jpg 20190206_125345.jpg

Half my office has been in furlough mode for the past 5 years. I always tell them it is my tax dollars they are wasting. Some laugh. Some go back to sleep. I really wish I was joking. I worked 30 years in private industry and I cannot help but work hard all day. That also gets a laugh. That's why half of them weigh 300-350 pounds and have diabetes. Most would be fired within 3 hours at a real job. I know. I was a manager in the real world. Makes me feel guilty for real workers that I did fire in my past.

Took me 14 months to fire a worthless GS HR I had when I was running an ROTC program. Dude was so lazy he didn’t even fully realize with his PIP all he had to do was improve. Not even to a level of doing his job correctly. He was off at 3:30, he would just quit whatever he was doing and leave. Even if it was due that night. Luckily my GS supply person was on point.

Supervisors cannot fire people at my base. People learn quick that once probation is over it is do as you feel. Really sucks. I never minded working. I do more at 60 than any 4 of our 30 somethings. I can't stand looking at a clock all day. These people spend more time on facebook than they do working. That is from the bottom to the top of the chain of command. I have been asked, with all of my experience, to put in for management jobs. I have 2 responses. First not interested in a job where you cannot discipline lame employees and secondly, the answer everyone hates, is that I spent 30 years working with or for smart people but I gave that up for the government benefits. Retiring sometime this year and cannot wait. But retiring just means I will do more manufacturing in my garage.

That's the reason I'm moving up - so I can outrank the morons. I'm about two months away from taking the place of a useless 14 and sending her packing.

The prior service folks are awesome - the career civilians notsomuch.

Sounds like one of my experiences. I took over a job many years ago where I ran a manufacturing plant at night. That was machine shop, crane operators, tool rooms, quality control, weld shop and assembly. They gave me a helper who had not seen a raise in 5 years. I had a long talk with him and told him if he gave me 90% effort I would guarantee him a raise. He actually said "what you want me to do work all the time". Less than a week later I fired him for hiding for 3 hours in his car while I had a truck picking up a huge milling machine for delivery. I ran the crane myself in his absence. I even wrote programs and ran machines when the workload was heavy. I am old school. Lead by example.
