I wish I knew. I had a pair of Jaybird x2’s for 2.5 years without a single issue, lost them. I’m going to give Jaybirds another shot with the Tarah Pro’s.

If these are trash I’m going to find my old iPod shuffle and go back to $20 corded earbuds.

Awesome. I’ll dive into what I know and some tips when I get some time tonight. If I forget just pm or tag me.

I am by no means an expert, but it doesn’t take a genius. Haha. I cut 60lbs this year. If I can do it anybody can.

If you’re going to track, I highly recommend using my fitness pal or some other tracking app. It’s free and easy to use. You plug in everything you eat and it tracks your macros for you

Also research on how to weigh and measure food. Invest in a food scale and measuring utensils. They will make thing much easier and accurate.

Before you can determine how to cut, you first need to figure out what maintenance is for you. There are tons of online calculators that will give you a decent estimate of how many calories will be maintenance for you.

For a good round number, let’s say your maintenance is 3000 calories per day. Hold that thought...

There are three macronutrients - protein, carbohydrates, and fat. Read up on them. They are all very important in your diet.

Protein has 4 calories per gram. You’ll want to consume about 1-1.2 gram protein per pound of LEAN body mass per day. For our purposes, let’s say you weigh 185 and are not extremely obese. You’ll want to eat 185g protein per day.

185g at 4 cals/gram is 740 calories. Subtract that from your 3000 calories per day first and you’re left with 2260 to split between carbs and fat.

Some people like carbs, some like fat. You can play around with the split to figure out what your body responds to best.

Carbohydrates also have 4 calories per gram. Let’s say you go with 385g carbs. 385x4=1540 calories. Subtract that from the 2260 you have left and that leaves 720 cals for fat.

Fat has 9 cals per gram. 720 divided by 9 is 80 grams of fat per day.

So your maintenance macros would be 185P 385C 80F.

******heres where you learn how to cut****

Eat the above macros for a couple weeks. Weigh every day. If your AVERAGE weight is decreasing then keep eating those macros.if it’s increasing or staying the same, then reduce your caloric intake very slightly.

Take away 10g carbs until you start to see weight loss. If you’re losing weight, don’t take any away. You want to lose as slowly as possible. About one pound per week.

As you lose weight, your metabolism will slow down and the weight loss will stall. Take away another 10g carbs.

    Repeat until you’re lean.

I’d also recommend making sure you get at least 30g fiber per day to keep things flowing. Haha. MFP will track that for you too.

Meal prep is key. Plan and prepare your meals for the next day each night. Let me know if you have any questions.

Counting calories and macros really makes you food aware. It can correct a lot of bad habits quickly and get you going towards your goals faster.
But it is very labor intensive at first and is a big chore but its worth it.

Good explanation and info right here.

I used MyFitnessPal to get started as well and track the weight loss.

Once you get on a routine and basically know what food has what in it on a daily basis then you can lean off the app and just go off knowledge.

    TRUE THAT

Like snacking on a bag of chips is over 350+ calories.

Get on a treadmill and try to run that off or see how it fits in your daily amount. It’s crazy.

I was always yelling downstairs like “MOM! GET OFF THA PHONE!!” Lol

    Seriously.

One thing that has helped me recently is opening up like a bag of nuts or an indulgance like chips/crackers and I legitimately put the whole container into measured out baggies. So if I want that item I go into the pantry and get my serving. I don’t just eat handfuls or sit down with the whole bag.

For those of you who don’t know, A serving of Oreos is 3. Apparently its not a whole sleeve.

Why not just stay off all the stimulants for a month to reset yourself? :boink:I can have a 200mg caffeine pill and nearly die from the shakes. I was pretty intolerant at times, doing 3 and 4 scoops of preworkouts and then I stopped using caffeine for about 2 months. After that, my tolerance dropped massively and it's effective again.
