Lancer mags are really good for multi caliber. And you can sometimes get special colors like red and purple

Just replaced my front brake pads, bar none the easiest brake job I've done since 1971, kudos to Toyota for keeping it simple.

Hard to believe dealers charge so much for this job.

Well...frak. My antenna got delivered today. The one thing I needed least until the install was nearly done. The rest of the crap is stuck in Plant City. I'm going to try to do some prewiring tonight for the power and ground for the CB. Truck is aligned, and I'm putting the skid back on tomorrow. Then I have to work on cleaning the big pile of tools and crap up out of the back. Have to figure out something to do with my tools or not only will they be scattered all over the back of the T4R, the rattling will drive me nuts. If I didn't already have two or three of everything as faras basic hand tools, I'd by one of those kits that come in the nice plastic cases and keep everything neatly organized. By a waste of money though and more shit I don't need so, I'll have to come up with something else.

Went with OEM since the first set lasted 89,000 miles, and had maybe 20,000 left but it would have been pushing it. Wanted to replace before the rotors get groves. Give gunny1005 a pm, and he'll respond same with price.

I've carried stuff in tool rolls and tool bags that I found at a military surplus store for a while. Keeps the wrenches organized and relatively rattle free.

I got an empty plastic tool box with top tray, at Lowes for around $20, holds more than I would have thought. Besides the brakes, I tuned my cb antenna today, will check with a new meter when it shows up. Got the swr's down to 1.2 on ch1 and ch40, around 1.05 on ch20. It will get a good test this weekend on my 2 day road trip to see daughter and 2 granddaughters, have fun in the woods.

Well, I suffered an episode of insanity this evening since I couldn't install my antenna mount, I decided to absolutely butcher my center dash board.

    IMG_20190206_184124697.jpg IMG_20190206_184139655.jpg IMG_20190206_184148419.jpg

I don't know how the hell I'm going to attach the mic or how I'm going to attach the mounting bracket, but by gawd I'm going to make it work some how. I'm thinking of putting the external speaker right in front of the 4WD shifter depending on how big it is.

Yeah I have one tool bag. They really don't work for me...at least not with my sockets and such. I hate not being able to find shit and tool bags are good for that. The roll up thing I'm considering for the wrenches, ratchets, and various extensions, but it doesn't really solve my socket issue and I'm really not too fond of most of the socket holders out there other than maybe the magnetic ones.

Here's what I've used for 30yrs, was old when I got it, metal box and all. Have a new dual meter setup on the way now, not sure I want to trust the old one, but it worked. Spent most of it's life in my toolbox.

Mine is just a cheap little $25 one I got from either Right channel Radio or Amazon, don't remember which. I usually get most of my stuff from Right Channel, but I wanted a 9' Fire Ring coax for the OGT so I didn't have to figure out where to hide a bunch of extra coax and only amazon had it, so I might have got the meter and the coax at the same time from Amazon.

On the plus side, if I ever decide this 25 is done, and I get a new Uniden 68 (or 880), my how to get the mic connected problem will be solved. I'm actually kinda digging the location. I only had to cut out the ashtray and the cig lighter, neither of which I used...well, I did used the cig lighter for a power point since neither of my power points worked and I'm too lazy to run wires to figure out why, so I'm just going to rewire them using the cig lighter harness and they should work again. They'll be directly under the radio, might might turn out to be not terribly convenient, but some times sacrifices have to be made. The only other place to mount the radio would have been on the side of the transmission hump and I just couldn't force myself to do that do to the risk of the bottom of the radio getting wet if I got in over my head. Hopefully not something that will ever happen with the T4R, but shit happens. Hope for the best and prepare for the worst.
