I did in a Cirrus one day.

Absolute greaser, then the plane started shaking violently. Couldn’t keep it on the centerline; damn near went off the left side. Left main tire had gone flat sometime enroute.

A particularly hectic day in the PNW today for flying.

My buddy just became a Cirrus sales rep and he took my up in a 2019 model with less than 20 hours on it. That thing is more advanced than the B737 (to be fair though, most planes are)!

I hadn’t flown a single-engine plane since 2013 so it was fun to get back into GA.

That’s the one with the built-in whole plane parachute, right? We had one stall out locally (operator error) and they ops-checked that parachute.

    Worth. The. Money.

Yeah, that’s the one! It also has other features that won’t let it bank past 45° and it will level itself from any attitude if you push a little blue button. Overall it seems very safe, but I would say that it make a pilot rather complacent.

But the detonating charge that deploys that parachute makes it a bugger for the rescue guys if it crashed without activating.

Wile E. Coyote’s parachute always deploys on impact. Dependable.

Cool! Looks like I need to find some time and a reason to come up there and drool a little.

Well, 576.9 hours later I completely filled my logbook and had to get a new one today. :woot:

The new FBO is really impressive and it seems like it gets better every day. Don't even think about finding parking around lunch time. There are always 10-15 people waiting for a table. The foods OK, but I guess it's the ambiance.

It’s cool but they should fire the designer who made a flag with 14 stripes.

Is that made of paper? My great grandpa gave me a bunch of paper model kits when I was a kid, but it was all cold war US fighters. The F14 even had moveable wings. I kinda wish now that they had survived my childhood, but I had a lot of fun with them. I was also into the Whitewings paper airplane kits. I had this one, but is sure as hell didn't cost what they're asking for it:
