    That’s outrageous.

That’s like skipping ages 0-30 and starting at 31. Completely wrong

Hahaha. My plasma cutter isn’t that bad ass to cut through that big chunk. I used my porta band and cut off wheels

Yeah my plasma only cuts through 1”. And I had never used it on cast so wasn’t sure if it was any good for cast. Wasn’t about to try it on something fancy like this axle. And didn’t want to put too much heat into it

Yeah I dont want to use it on the cast and risk it warping something or eating into the tube. It did make cleaning up the 14 bolt a little easier though.

I'll right my wrongs this evening and get a sawzall from HF

I run spools front and rear. Didn't want to dick with the fancy shit. I just want to wheel. Also why I made the jump to D60s. I am so much happier now completely overbuilt and doing fun shit when I want and not worry about a damn thing. If it's too much effort on the crazy 3 second obstacle - I'm out. I'll more than happily watch everyone else break there shit. :)

I'm with you there. If you don't wanna fuck with your shit why bother with lunch box lockers and all that jaz. i love fucking with my shit so here i am with air lockers and happy as hell with it.
I will say if you did some of the snow wheeling that i do like cutting a drifted road out on the side of a mountain thats single track and the rear keeps sliding down the mounting being able to unlock the rear end really helps save your bacon. i probably would have never put a air locker in the rear if it wasn't for that.

I loved the air lockers in my axles. Now that I'm building 2.5s, I got spools so we'll see how I like them

My sawzall largely stays in the case. I rarely have a reason to pull it out between the angle grinder and a plasma. I feel like it just shakes me and whatever I’m working on to death. When I cleaned up my 80 axle, I did it all with a plasma and flap disk. Little but different than a cast 60 center but you get the idea

I've turned down offers for 12-15. Need a little more to get into something else. I'd let it go for 18 ish if I got to keep the front axle minus third and the 39s. Throw a regular yota axle in it

    Just a few
I run Grizzly lockers front and rear, and to be honest with you, wish I would have sooner. I don’t run any asphalt, so it just makes sense.

    Now for the obvious downsides:

-turning. I don’t have any issues due to full hydraulic steering, and if I’m really bound up, I can disengage either the front or rear axle via the Atlas TC. I also run slugs in my bearing hubs, so no lockout hubs for this guy.

    - Sidehilling can be an issue under power, especially in snow, but for the most part they do just fine.

On Monday, we went out in the off-roading in snow/mud/rocks and a buddy had issues with his ARB not locking up. Sometimes it would, others...not so much. He was pissed. This car should have made me look like I took a stock 3rd gen Tacoma...but that role was reversed.

I drive mine on the street and full times are fine. The first 10mins after you first put them in are weird but after that I don't even notice them. They do suck on the street in the snow, I did that once and never again.
