2020 Tacoma announced today. Basically everything but the engine and transmission has been upgraded or has a new look. It’s neat now tho the Tacoma now has an optional panoramic camera. It’s tempting to me; really dying to get a pro but I’ll hold off until a new engine is introduced.

Ya, no. If you mean LED tails/headlights, new grille, Entune 3.0, driver power seat and the camera, sure everything...

If you read carefully I said everything BUT the engine and transmission has been upgraded. In other words, I’m proving you guys right in that the 2020 Tacoma has a lot of new stuff on it.

They won't change the engine/trans combo until the next gen......any guesses on how long that will be?

I missed all that stuff, were there any specifics like going back to a 4.0 or a hybrid which seemed like a no-brainer years ago.

Nope, he simply mentioned the internal bean counters wanting to move to the TNGA-F platform. @Carmaker1

I have an empty pocket you can put some of that money in sir:thumbsup:

Still waiting to see the front end.

And from this person outside of the box it really sucks the Tacoma/Toyota has put all this bullshit and let people buy trucks let them test it out for them, like it's just a battlefield video game from Dice or something. Then upgraded a couple years down the road...
What happened to the $60 Nintendo cartridges that we would buy and it would last us years with no complaints..... like old toyotas.....
    WTF?.......
    WTF!?

Its Toyota's global platform, its what they've used for almost all their new vehicles, CH-R, RAV-4, etc. Its a departure from body on frame.

When they say LED headlights, are they referring to just the DRL LED strip? Or are they actually LED projector headlights now?
