Looks better than the new Tacoma imho. Cue the hate.

Nope check out my post and Toyota Tacoma press release, it’s an option for the TRD Pro Tacoma, straight from Toyota.

Overall. A good refresh with technology/quality of life upgrades to match && exceed certain aspects of its competition. Those expecting something drastic like a new engine/tranny/diesel for a refresh definitely set themselves up for disappointment.

When Ford Refreshed the current generation F150 two years ago, they increase horse power and fuel economy. I guess Toyota just won't do something like that.

Different companies, different priorities. How long did it take Ford to realize the mid size truck segment still existed in North America?

No mention of Voodoo Blue making it to the other trims??

Hoping the headunit is a direct swap, I wouldn’t mind the Apple CarPlay capability.

Would love the new Pro LED headlights, BUT if they price them outrageously high like the current OEM Pro headlights, suddenly the $1200 morimoto LED headlights look like an even better option. Even then, I think the similarity in design to the 2020+ LED headlights will force morimoto to make them cheaper *fingers crossed*

That head unit looks way better than the original. Big fan of the bigger screen and physical buttons.

The question is have they elimnated the steering wheel and gas pedal vibration caused by the exhaust resonance?

Same experience. Had a loaner last year with JBL thinking for the money it must sound better than my $250 speaker and in my truck. Nope. Sound is much fuller and deeper sounding in my truck than the hollow sound of the JBL

I installed the Subaru tweeters and loved the upgrade, but when I installed the kicker door speakers, there was virtually no bass. I ended up uninstalling them and putting the factory speakers back in. What am I missing here?

Midsize truck retains midsize engine. Go figure

New headlights look interesting except for the TRD / PRO logo in them. I’m sure those things will cost $2,500+ considering the price of the current units.

CarPlay is awesome. I want it.

Probably to differentiate the pro from all of us sporting TRD Pro grilles. :)
