Do you have more pictures? I just bought the SE and was wondering what something similar would look on the truck. I also have MGM

Just one more showing the LR corner and added retractable step. This cover is the plain, not painted black coverIMG_0156.jpg which I think compliments the MGM nicely. And virtually maintenance free.

Sorry to resurrect a dead thread, but I didn't want to start a new one on an old topic.

Anyway, I'd like to get one of the hard folding tonneaus for my 2019 long bed, however, I feel it's excessive to have to install a whole new set of mounting hardware when my truck comes with a rail and I definitely don't feel comfortable drilling anywhere on it. Which of the hard trifold tonneaus will mount to my existing bed rails? And which of those is the best one? I know "best" is purely subjective as different people have different requirements. However, let's just say best in terms of an equal balance of ease of install/removal, weather resistance, quality of product, and structural sturdiness.

I just had an Undercover Ultra Flex installed on my 19 DCLB yesterday. Uses the existing rails. I'm happy with it so far. Sits flush and feels heavy duty. 5 year warranty as well.

I appreciate the info. How quickly can you install/remove it? Also, does it prevent the usage of the rail cleats? Do you have to use the LED lights on it?

I just got a brand new OEM tri folding tonneau, which fits my needs perfectly. As far as adding extra hardware, it mounts to existing holes pre drilled into your bed. The only cutting you do is to the bed rail caps, and it’s not much, jut a notch to allow the top to snap into place. I love it, keeps my gear safe and dry and if I need to carry something big, no problemo. Fold it up and boom.

Wouldn't mind being able to get my hands on one, but unfortunately it seems that I can only get one from someone who's taking the one that came with their truck off.

Exactly how I acquired mine. Luckily anTW member saw me asking east coast members in the for sale section if they’d ship. He ended up being local enough for me to drive to his place and do the purchase/ install. And he was kind enough to keep all the parts, help me install it, and cut my bed rail caps since his were already used for his new cap. Keep a lookout on the for sale section here and you’ll luck out eventually. Someone that buys a AC or dclb that doesn’t want the OEM cover will sell it there.

keep an eye for any craigslist adds for the OEM that are within your driving range as well. I just sold mine via CL and met the guy in a parking lot. took us 20 minutes to remove and reinstall. i swapped rails with him though so we did not have to trim. i sold it because mine leaked like a sieve. so just be aware.

I am currently working through some leaking issues with Leer's new trifold model HF350. the preceding Leer model X2T had a good track record of keeping the bed dry, so i am hoping they can sort out the install with this model and keep my bed dry as well. Turns out i was the first Tacoma that they tried to install one on and Tacomas require an extra step or two to seal them up. will be reporting back as soon as they have made their adjustments.

Fwiw, mine has been great at keeping things dry. Even with the gaps at the front and back. We just had a fairly good storm roll thru California and I had a good chance to test it’s weatherproofing. With the bed mat, nothing was wet except the local areas around the rear gaps. The front even stayed dry.

i had water dripping from above as well as running down the sides so the bed mat would not have worked for me. if i had a reasonable amount of water getting in i would have kept mine. if you check out the link i posted in your thread you just started, you can see pictures of the amount of water i was getting in.

I guess I'll just keep my eyes open here on TW as well as craigslist. Worst comes to worst I'll just get an extang solid fold 2.0

if you're patient you'll find one. there are enough people that buy tacomas with the oem already included, but for whatever reason, they dont really want it. for example, if they want to get a cap, or a different cover, or just want an open bed.

Any one look at at Peragon bed cover. I’m thinking that’s the way I’m lean towards. Made in USA
