We budget $800. We eat out maybe once or twice a month. It was hard at first, but now it's routine.

For future health reasons, quit eating out! LOL

You got that right! Biggest change was giving willfully to the church out of joy. Funny how our money troubles faded after that

lol yes yes I know. I need to be better about it. doing grocery pickup is helping since I hate grocery shopping. having a significant other in the house to help with responsibilities will help out immensely too. we go back and forth between houses so much and have all the responsibility of 2 homes it's hard to make time for cooking a lot.

Time to budget for that ring big boy. "Pre" adulthood is easy, once that ring then a baby come into play, that's when the real "fun" starts!

I wouldn't expect much more than 50k out of my 5100s, but that is with wheeling.

If y'all can figure out a way now, then should be no problem when there's only one house to go home to.

you are correct, and we are working on it. I grill most every weekend, and she has an instant pot she got for christmas that helps.

sure they are. we're adults...no desire to date 5+ years anymore. ring was budgeted for before Amy though. had other long term girlfriends that I could foresee that purchase happening so I've really had that in reserve for a long time.

Maybe...you'd be surprised how a woman's mind works and changes after marriage. Especially if they start talking about that damn special clock of theirs.

    Spoken like a true father!

it kills me to not work on weekends now.. the anxiety of not working kills the fun so even my fun time is work time.. all work and no play makes for a dull boy.

    just under 2 acres. i didn't map it, but if that's a solid location that's a good price at 95 sq/ft. i paid right at $99 a sq/ft with .51 acres. location is everything.

gotta pay to be a few minutes from everything, and have a nice neighborhood, as well as quietness. the problem with a lot of land is that if you don't maintain it it goes to crap and 40 acres is a shit load, so calculate in your tractor and farm equipment to maintain it. I came from 55 to .5. It has it's advantages, but i'm not home enough to enjoy all that land at this time in life.

My Dad took it way back in 2008 or so and tried to get Tiffany and I to go. We did not. I wish we did. I'd have saved for a 77 Trans Am by now and not be in debt at all. Glad we finally took it though. It definitely impacted us.

Yea for you that 3-5 years of marriage for just yall is fine. Women are different, especially if they really want kids. That special clock starts talking to them and ain't nothin you say can overpower that clock talk. Does she have any friends that are preggo or have babies or plans of either of the 2 in the near future?
