Do you guys have a more detailed itinerary yet? I am strongly considering running passage 3 and 4 up to Globe then heading home from Globe via the 60. If it works that you hit passage 3 sometime Saturday morning and Globe sometime Sunday that would be doable. Passage 5 interests me the most but just cant take a day off work right now after my ankle surgery.

I'll air down to 20psi and stay there until the end unless there's a really long stretch of highway.
I don't think we're going to have a hard itinerary. The amount of sections that it seems like we're planning to do could be done in just 2 days if we pushed hard enough. I think this is going to look more like a leisurely cruise haha

Sound like fun but cant that weekend. If it goes well maybe we can schedule the remainder in late spring/early summer.

@Ace115 and I did the first 2 sections without airing down and there was somewhat challenging stuff there. It can be done. And running aired down on the hwy for a short distance isn't going to hurt anything. I've drive 20 or some miles without issue running 13 to 15 psi. Just be aware of it and don't drive dumb. Although I do have on board air now.

It can cause damage to the tires from the extra heat generated. You may not be able to see it but it is very possible to damage a tire running it low on the highway.

I'll probably drop to 25 or so and air up on the longer hwy sections. Only takes a couple min w/ a tank.

Yes, if run for extended periods like that at speed. I have no issues running 60-65 for 15-20 miles every once in a while when aired down. Doesn't happen often.

Oh yeah, I am a for sure GOING on this. I got the job, accepted the offer letter but now I have to go thru the very slow process of getting my interim and full security clearance. The interim portion can take 3 months still.

    Absolutely bro!

I always air down no matter what! I also have an the ARB high output twin on board! So we wont be having issues with air! 35" tires from 10 to 40 in 1-2 minutes!

Looks like we might have some rain for the weekend we are out. Weather.com is showing showers for that Thursday and Friday so far with overnight lows in the mid 30's for the Sonoita area. We'll see how the forcast changes as we get closer, hopefully it clears up.

Hopefully it clears up. I'm fine with cold and rain but I really don't want to cross any water deeper than the hubs. I haven't extended my breathers and probably won't before this trip. I dislike water crossing in general.
