    February 7, 2019 | UPDATE

Unfortunately, we ran into a delay for these lights. There are a few details we are working out before these lights can be released to market. We are aiming to provide the best SAE approved lighting as soon as we can.

    ETA: June, 2019

Well hell. Thanks for the update.

Any chance you’ll be able to divulge if the current squadron sports/pros will be able to be converted to be SAE compliant? Or are we looking at a whole new platform?

Thanks for the update. Waiting for anything this cool sucks but I'm reassured because I know that BD makes things perfect before releasing to the public. I've got my money ready and waiting for you.

Samesies. I’m definitely getting the SAE ones as soon as they’re dropped. I love the throw of the WC ones but wish I could run them all the time.

Hm. I’d rather buy squadrons and use them now, then use them for off road after the SAE’s come out. But that’s just me

Been using my sports on road and haven’t really got brighted much, hoping the SAE ones are just a lens swap

I’m looking to replace some Cali raised side shooters for something better quality as a ditch light. Is the consensus to run some squadron sport combos for this application?

I'm very happy with my wide cornering S2's- however for ditch lights and/or "comfort lighting" I personally shoot them very wide, and the spot part of the combo could feel wasted. If you wanna shoot them straight forward then combo is more appropriate. I have amber squadrons with combo lenses pointed forwards on my light rack.

That's just IMO though. You can't go wrong with combo or wide cornering. Or Baja in general.

I’d say so. If I were to run ditch lights though I’d probably run wide cornering. They still throw like plenty far but suuuuper wide which you’d want in ditch lights

Thank you both, I wouldn’t have thought to look at the wide cornering. I would plan to angle them out a bit, but that’s just what I do with what I’m running currently. The wide cornering has decent distance to them?

you are not going to get distance from wider cornering, just coverage over a wider spread

I have amber WC as my fogs. When I have both them and my headlights on, I can turn my headlights off and not notice a difference. No bullshit. I mean my headlights are kinda shitty, but you get the idea. It’s too bad you’re not closer so I could show them to you in person.

Appreciate the info. I was thinking the WC would be a better "fog" application. They probably throw light as far as these Cali Raised things which are supposedly combo.

It kinda blew my mind when I first turned them on. If you’re planning on angling your ditch lights out and down (which is how they should be) then WC would be perfect.

I angle them out, not so much as down but that's because it's my main aux lighting. I have a cheap Amazon special behind the grille that does nothing my headlights don't accomplish.

I'll probably get a roof rack in the future so I can get something for driving or spot oriented there.

Best part of all this is you get one and don’t like it, you can swap out the lens for like $20 and try something else.
