    Lund 5 inch ovals. Paid $165.00. The profile is slightly wider than the truck, so they do offer some protection against door dings. Easy install.

    Mine were on the truck when I bought it. Got a good deal so I didn't question at the time but definitely would have let them keep them for that kind of money. Being almost level with the floor they aren't a very good step and hard to step over so they'll only be on for winter months.

    Good:
    Help with salt/grime in winter.
    Door-ding protection.
    Help when washing the roof.
    One thing that won't rust.

    Bad:
    Suck as steps.
    Expensive as hell.

    Door ding protection is my main reason, plus getting in and out. Not sure why Toyota made it so high, I have some disabled friends that cannot get in it

    I don't get the point that the running boards make it easier to get in and out of the truck. Most stock running boards are only a couple of inches lower than the floors. What you need is a height that is roughly midway between the ground and the floor. I got iBoards and added extensions to get them low enough for my wife to use. I lowered them about 4 inches. Of course, they'll get trashed if I go off-roading, but I don't do that anyhoo. What I like about them is that it makes it easier to get up to wash the roof.

    I have a disabled friend who needs a step also. With the step, the grab handle on the A pillar and a little push from me he gets right in.
    And the door ding protection is a plus!

    The Lund bars (see my post above) have plenty of room to get your foot on. They have more clearance than the OEM ones.

    A58BEBC2-F2D2-461B-8D8D-5E82643E7CA8.jpg My experience has been different, I love the fact that they’re mounted high so it doesn’t impede ground clearance and get damaged or hung up on rocks when I go off road (I don’t treat them as sliders). I love the non skid coating and they stick out far enough to protect from door dings. Also great when I wash the roof and they act as planks, I can step and walk anywhere forward and backward during loading and unloading. Collects snow too...LOL.     I purchased these from a TW member for $400 local pickup. Didn’t need sliders and wanted the most protection from rocks and door dings. No regerts
