The Division 2

I’ve still got my balance on my MS account. Thinknit just charged my card for it but it’s not showing up on my bank account. Lol XB says I own it though. Maybe I got a freeby. Lol

 

I’m about 3 hours in at this point.

First impressions:

The graphics are great in this one. The gameplay is way better than Division 1 because your armor actually works in this one. You also don’t have to empty a mag on a NPC to kill them. Gameplay seems really smooth and the bosses are harder to kill.

Hints:

Don’t follow the line to where you’re going. Loot is everywhere and you’ll need to get off the direct path to find it. Safe houses are now camps from what I’ve seen so far in game. You do missions at them to recruit new agents. A couple of buttons have changed so you’ll have to pay attention to them.

Overall I’m really impressed with the beta. This is what it should have been last time but wasn’t. Going to keep moving on in the beta and see what is to come tonight. Look forward to seeing some of you in the game.

 

Be playing in another hour. Is the dark zone open in the beta or no??

 

I want to say you get to play one of them at sometime in it. I believe it was locked earlier when I was on. May have to get to a certain level or something though. I'm only at level 2 right now.

It will be a couple hours before I can get back on again.

 

I hate the DZ in Div1. I get all the goodies and then get my shit pushed in about 5 seconds before the extraction heli leaves.

 

You trying out the beta that's live now for Div 2?

 

I didn't even know there was a division 2 until about 30 seconds before my post in here...so maybe?

This damn "agent requesting backup" announcement is driving me nuts. It never stops

 

I'll be getting it, but PS4 here. I don't play anything online however, which I think shorted my experience with the first one. Don't get me wrong, I had a great time playing it. Played the main campaign through a couple times and kept playing long after that just cruising around looking for stuff to do, but the DZ was locked out if you don't have PS Plus. (lame) Which is kind of where you get to see if you're really as good as you thing you are- or at least that's what I'm told. I hope they kept us off-line weirdos in mind with this one.

 

Yeah that is pretty irritating. Can no one fight for themselves? I made it fine all the way through the first boss without needing any help. I'm betting they aren't looking for weapons and have the base weapon's, could be a problem there.

 

I remember them saying something at the release party about it having game play for players who like PVP or not. Not sure what that meant but the DZ is a PVP area so I assume you'd have to have PS Plus for that too. I've always had Xbox Live anyway so I could play with friends.

 

Or, go help a fellow agent out.

 

Never played... but I have had a copy of the last one for a while. Still packaged up. Maybe ill give it a whirl

I've still got Destiny from 2 years ago in the package. Maybe one of these years, or not.

 

Destiny was a pretty good game... haven't played 2 though. Im still needing to pick up red dead 2 at some point.

 

Destiny is a game that I could really get behind. You can play your story through, but as you work your way through the open map, you can run into other players that are mid mission and either stop to help them (and get some loot) or just run on through like it's none of your business. It's the "swinger" version of online gaming. You can choose to join in or not. If you play well with others you get an invite to keep playing.

 

One of the guys I play with is a 69 y/o Viet Nam vet. Met him through someone I played with online one night. Been playing Division with him for 3 years almost every night.

I have COD BO4 on PS4 if you ever want to play with someone. Or get the notion for PS Plus.

 

Had fun last night Murph. Playing with Nam is pretty fun. He cracks me up. For it to be a Beta there really isn't too many issues. Yes the Delta errors but that happened maybe 5 times in 3 hours if I remember right. Interested to see if they change anything after Beta. Looking forward to signing back on this evening.
