Recently installed the hood scoop decal and it works wonders...there is still a portion of the hood that glares straight into your eye but very noticeable improvement from before

Currently in stock config with 265/65r17 BFG AT KO2. Mods are internal as of yet, mostly in the bed. Rotopax, shovel/axe holders, etc. Hard tri-fold bed cover and pop-a-lock secures the bed from honest criminals. BPF steel skid plate and Westin Dingo catcher on the front with BPF tow and shackle setup. Internal of the cab I've replaced all the incandescents with LED and the climate control and 4H-4L-2H knobs are the knobby/beefy knobs with color matched bolts. Seat covers are custom neoprene in a Hawaiian theme with red inserts. Here's a list of what's going to be installed when I go on R&R next month:

(Copied from the new member thread)

I've been looking for a good small/mid-sized truck for a few years now. My grandpa (who is a genius mechanic who currently has three pickups, four cars, a van for some reason, three fishing boats, seven tractors, and uncounted lawnmowers and snowmobiles) had great things to say about his little blue '80s four-banger Toyota pickup. The thing just doesn't die.
After losing out on deals on nice used Tacomas for months (these trucks sell quickly), I found one for $20,900 five hours away and jumped on it.

2011 Toyota Tacoma Base model, Double Cab Short Bed, 4WD 4.0L V6, 5 speed Automatic, Barcelona Red

No frame rust. First thing I checked.

    So many Vs!

It only had 41,600 miles on it. This is what it was driving it off the lot after purchase:

It came with a Tekonsha P3 brake controller (which I really have no need for and will probably just remove).

I've already installed gray WeatherTech floor mats in front to match the interior, and installed an Engine Block Heater from O'Reilly's, since this was previously owned in Florida and didn't have one. Useful when it got down to -77°F wind chills.

Until two weeks ago, I had a 2001 Ford Focus SE. I put 235,000 miles on that car, and I wasn't very nice to it. She wasn't much to look at, but she was reliable. RIP in peace.

Can't wait to wash the Minnesota salt off. Still don't get why they use that poison. Here in North Dakota, we use sand and stubbornness on our roads. Works so much better.
