Gives them something to boast about every year. I’m sure there isn’t much up the sleeve so they reveal their hand slowly in hopes of luring more people would be my best guess.

Damn I’d love to have Apple CarPlay in my 18 but not enough to take a bath on trade in and having to screw around with salesman again. XM I just do through the app on my phone, so that wouldn’t be too big of an upgrade for me.

This was my first thought! Wanna upgrade my 2018, and it really could be just a SW update

Ugh. That grille. From bad (2016-2017) to worse (2018-2019) to WTF (2020).

No one wants chrome. Toyota gives you no chrome. And it's ugly? Toyota just can't win can they?

Right, I like my 19 grille, amazed how many people here just bitch over every little thing. Buy a Ford already, Ranger can be built exactly how you want it with aton of trim/packages.

I agree! but, I am sure all those grilles will get swapped out for Pro style grilles pretty quickly. just like the current ones did. I was really hoping Toyota would show us something today. even with the "improvements" I am still not willing to trade my 2018 for a new one. power seats don't mean shit to me, I am the only person that drives my vehicle, so my seat stays where I put it. and I couldn't care less about car play or any of that. upgrade the drivetrain, give us a turbo diesel option and then I will consider trading.

That is lame as hell, they didn’t upgrade shit really. However I am interested in the army green color! I’d love to see it!!

You'd need to swap to get the features.

Is it a direct swap, though? I strongly doubt it. Going from an optional 7" full touch screen (JBL/Entune) to a new 8" touch screen with physical buttons on the sides.

I'll try to find out for sure soon.

It does appear to be the same size. Less bezel and no CD player. I have a feeling going from 7 to 8 is possible without changing the size of the unit.

Its the same size/footprint as the current TRD entune system, just a bigger screen, the unit itself will fit, the harness / connection in back will be the question.

Yep some guy in the 2020 teased thread who has first hand with it said it will be a direct fit, you just need the updated junction/connection in the back.

Have I just missed the pictures of the new "darker" tail lights of the SR trims? Any confirmation whether or not any trims are gonna have LED tails?

So far my favorites have got to be the '18-'19 off-road that has the reverse light housing with no chrome, but otherwise normal looking red housings.

Pictures look incandescent but it's hard to tell. They tweaked the side marker light slightly. I like the 4Runner rear lights.
