What if the key never leaves the ignition - and only has the key in it :anonymous:

In fairness, with the way they hold value, probably cheaper to trade in and start mileage and warranty over than to try to retrofit anything from the new into the old.

I still wouldn’t do it, but my point stands.

If I were stuck choosing between heat and power I would take the heat, they are awesome

I had too, the wife was inquiring and if I don't get back with a correct answer, I get the back-hand again. And I don't want "the back-hand" again, it hurts.

Then the chances of it being stolen are probably higher than the failure rate. Lol

Non stop actually. When I take my 4 Runner on trips, I'll tap the height adjustment randomly in a trip, or back and forth for different seating positions for comfort. I can do the back and forth on the Taco, but the height? Nope. :( Though, the underside camera, front/sides cameras, new headlights, power adjusting seats, and new stereo/infotainment center are pretty much the winners and deciding factors here. I was just contemplating the trade with the power seats, as I was figuring I could just retrofit the new seat into mine, but with all the changes, damnit, I'm taking the plunge. :/

Oh, and to the key issue: My wife, has a dozen keys on her keyring. I have... my truck key, nothing else on it. Yup, it's definitely a female thing.

Don't get to exited about that seat. You'll only able to go up a bit before your knees will hit the steering column when entering or exiting or your head will hit the roof line, like in the new rav.

To be honest this is an absurd argument against it.. when do power seats break?

Good to see Toyota getting with the program and offering a very basic feature!

Haha, my knees are already only 1" from the steering wheel with it all the way up. They really do need to add more adjustment for drivers.

If being comfortable means handing in my man card, that's ok with me. I can just choose 1 of the other 87 genders available.

It's not the power, it's the fact of adjustability. If they at least had manual adjustment for seat height, I'd be happy. I'm not a fan of power seats. The fact they take 10 minutes to go from my wife's seating position to mine is irritating, it's the ability to move the front or rear of the seat up and down a little is what I want.

Anyone else considering trading in their 3rd gen for a 2020 because of the adjustability of the new power seat? I have a 2019 which I am now very pleased with after adding a 1.5” seat spacer. Im 5’5 and definitely required the height adjustment. Even though I’m happy with my truck now, I still wonder if the aluminum seat spacers with 10.9 grade bolts are safe? Anyone here on the same boat? Thanks.

I am getting a 2020 and seat adjustments on 10 way are huge to me. I put over 35k miles on a year and I adjust my seat few times a day a d not just up down but tilt and recline. Wait is killing me

I love electric seats and being able to adjust everything. It definitely maximizes comfort. Especially if you have any kind of back issue.
