I will..... just don't know when :anonymous: Probably after SAS, idk. Not really thinking that far ahead right now.

I guess I should say that the LQ4 is the budget LS. You can pick them up from junkyard for 1/2k, 3k at the absolute max. Put an aftermarket cam in and a slight tune on the motor and you'll be sitting at around 400hp. Oh, and you can also make them California smog legal

Smoke legal in a Tacoma will be a headache in CA. Last time I looked at a LS for the smog exempt 68 Camaro 2k used was best I could find. Granite if your patient and do lots of leg work or get lucky maybe less. But in order to make it smog legal good luck. You want more hp build a trailer queen get a tow pig. Less headaches. And cheaper to build.

Anyone know anything about 350Z’s? A family friend wants to sell hers and asked me to do it for her. I know nothing about the cars but she’s not asking much and it’s super clean so figured wouldn’t be hard to sell for her.

    Also anyone interested in a 04 350Z? :D

I talked to a guy who lives in SoCal who put a 6.0 LQ4 in his 2002 Tacoma and was able to get it pass smog. He made it seem a little easier than I would have thought, but it wasn't his first rodeo with doing an engine swap. At least there's some hope there that I could have my truck still be street legal with a v8 :notsure:

Shit I was only going to ask $10. Doubled her money! :bananadance:

I’ll make a post in the craigslist thread to not clutter this one with for sale ads.

Yep...not a whole lot of swaps available for me if my engine were to let go. Not much that are worth the headache I mean. Could do a big turbo 2JZ-GE since those could be had for cheap. GTE isn’t available since the last year of production was like 1998. LS everything I suppose.

Oh shit! You better get a tow pig first. That way you can take your time, build it right.
