    I wanted to get a size 17 or 18 off road looking rims with a bigger more aggressive tire for my 2018 Tacoma.. but I was told that it would void my warranty if I put any aftermarket upgrades to my truck. Anyone know of a website that sells Toyota approved rims and tires? I can’t seem to find anything online and my local Toyota dealer isn’t returning my calls.. I’m thinking screw it and do what I want to my truck but I don’t want to lose my warranty. Thanks again.

    Thats a load of crap, wont effect your warranty.

    Also there are plenty of Toyota wheels out there that would work like these;

    If you wait till mid march there is usually a 20%off ebay coupon code that pops up around March 15 or so.

    That doesn’t sound like valid advice. Typically you may do what you want and while the dealer won’t necessarily easily warrant those new parts, it should not apply to other parts unless it directly contributes to their failure.

    I have heard so much stuff about warranties being voided. A buddy of mine that is a mechanic at Toyota said don’t worry about it, while a coworker who has owned Toyota’s for a very long time told me any mod will void the warranty for the whole truck. I lifted my truck, installed lights and a few other things and just had to go to Toyota to get my Moulding strips replaced under warranty and they said nothing.

    I wouldn’t worry about it. There is a law that says for the warranty to be voided, they have to prove what you did was the cause, and most of the time they don’t want to spend the time to fight it.
