I ordered today and did the same. Dicount tire price matched, and I signed up for the credit card so that will be another $50 after rebate :)

Ordered mine today, big thanks to Matt from Discount Tire Direct. Great price match and actually beat tirebuyer.com price. Now to get them in and mounted, and then touch up my rims since I painted them black with the balance weights on(lazy). Updates as soon as I get them rolling.

Got them mounted today, couldn't find a road force balance place, but seem ok so far only got to about 75 for a min and feel slight vibration but we will see how it goes, I can always take them to get rebalance. But they look great, make my SR look more aggressive, and have to perform better in the snow than the factory hankooks. Overall for the 6 miles I've driven on them I'm happy so far, will keep updated on my balance of them and overall impressions.

Got mine installed today at discount tire and wow what a difference over the original tires! Smooth quiet and discount tire did an excellent job balancing them I got up to 75mph and no shake at all. Service was excellent and I paid 680 out the door with certs and all. 2FDAC019-7763-4662-B3A1-2DE02E53EECB.jpg

Had mine in the snow for the first time today. Some deep snow, some packed snow, some super rutted pack snow. I was really really impressed with how they did. Stoked on this tire.

I want to say thank you for solving my smelly tires mystery. I purchased these Falken tires 7/27/18 and have never before had such smelly tires on a vehicle. Six months later and I still smell them from time to time. I never considered where they were made. I checked, and sure enough, they were made in Thailand. Thank you. I have not been overly impressed with these tires. My last set lasted me three years. These ones seem to have worn down a considerable amount already.8BDC8162-43BB-427C-9ADB-A62BB66B6F18.jpg4A3586CC-2ADA-46C3-A1B2-8E1F86FD72A1.jpg

From what I've read on this thread is that the tires made in Thailand are terrible they smell and wear fast (like you were describing) Have also heard that some of the ones made in Thailand were not 100% round and luckily Discount tire has been great to trade them out. Correct me if I'm wrong but this is what I've read.

Thought the smell and wear was down to the silica compound they use in the lighter rated tires. Mine were made in USA and stunk too.

I have Thai made ones and they don't stink. Maybe just a particular batch of them?

There also were a number US made 265s were also out of round based on the posts here.

When "out of the box" this past November; our's didn't smell much different than any other new tire... 265 65 17's, Made in USA; with no shake, no shimmy, no smell and so far performing above expectations!

Just got thes in 265/75r16. They look great and different from all the others out there. Am I sensing a Falken WildPeak thread?
