Pedal commander

I just installed a pedal commander and its showing check engine and trac control off anybody else have this?

 

i never had any code or any kind of issue from it. it was totally awesome and performed as described. sorry you're having issues... did you contact the seller yet?

i don't run mine any longer... all replaced with the OV Tune. which is light years better, and should not to be compared.

 

As hard as I looked I cannot find any dyno/performance comparisons.. I don't think this unit does much more than exaggerate the throttle input. Vehicle may feel faster because of this, but, without changing; air/fuel/ timing. I don't see much of s benefit.

 

that's what it does by design... it amplifies the throttle output heading to the ECU. there are no tricks, no secrets, and no false claims. having said that it's been a savior for many of us, especially the MT drivers. but really the OV tune is is the fix for any issues.

 

Late to the party here, but a CEL after installing the Pedal Commander usually is the result of installing it before the vehicle has completely powered down.

In their documentation they say to wait at least 20 minutes after driving before installation.

Your code most likely was related to the electronic throttle being disconnected while the ECU was still talking to it.

 

Hey @Yoda80trd, did you ever figure it out. I just put one in and its doing it. I just unplugged the battery and letting it rest, im hoping that helps.

Yeah it did initially but i installed a battery voltmeter/usb charger today and its doing it again but now the brake malfunction notification came on. Im now frustrated

Make sure the plug is seated all the way in on the throttle connection. Press a little harder than you think you should.

 

Zero issues with ours. Love it!!! Makes our 4cyl 5 speed fun to drive. It was awful stock! You gotta follow the directions or you will get errors!
