I'm due for a new battery on my 2015.

"Replace With: GROUP 27F" is what it says on my OEM battery.

Is there any particular brands recommended out there?
Or should I just purchase any reasonably priced 27F battery at my nearest auto parts store?

    Thanks in advance!

Now keep in mind you may need to get new battery tie down nuts and bolts. The stock ones don’t allow for a larger battery size.

    Thanks for the heads up!
I came across this one with a quick Google search: https://www.autozone.com/batteries-...ery/duralast-gold-battery/249479_817435_25698

I am hoping "OE Exact Fit" means I wouldn't need new tie downs and bolts.

I replaced mine last year and settled on Kirkland (Costco). Best price / warranty combo, no modifications necessary. It's been great so far especially on cold mornings out here.

My Costco sells Interstate, and it's a DIY deal, and yes, they want your old battery.

Mine was $50 under parts house prices.

Ha. People will say anything to help them swallow the fact that they paid close to $400 for something that they could have bought for $125.

Yes, the truck cranks over very urgently like it is on speed. If you compare the CCA and CAs to your battery you can see why, this thing has a monstrous 1750 CAs while also being a deep cycle.

Got mine thru Costco too. Interstate battery that was $30-40 less than anyone else, came in under $100.

Couldn't justify the price for an AGM type battery.

New to me. Both deep cycle & cranking in one. Deep cycle are designed to be ran way down then charged back up many many times. Cranking batts. are designed to be kept near completely charged. I guess it's time for something new. Uh! $360 Noooo.

Replaced mine with a NAPA 27F in Oct. 2018. Fits perfectly. No issues with having to rig up different hold downs or any of that.

Just thought of this, if it turns the starter that much faster, I think my compressor is going to set some personal record inflation times.

20% code that's going on right now, and a $30 mail in rebate. Used it on my 27F and after rebate and core return and stuff it'll be about $250

Yes. If you buy the same group as stock, your TRD should have come with a 27F. The NorthStar 27F fits in place fine. The only issue is the Northstar has a handle that is just a little wider than the factory tie down. I ran my tie down through the handle, if I messed with it some more I might have been able to get it to go over it, but this was a parking lot battery change with an antsy kid present.

If you guys or anyone else is interested, I plan on making and offering a much beefier hold down for these. I don't like the idea of a 68 lb battery held in place with the stock stuff. I'm going to take some 2" wide 3/16" bar stock and bend it over the top of the battery, and use some 3/8" thick J bolts to hold it in place. I'll be making mine today and can easily make more for cheap, like $30. I'll share pics if anyone is interested.
