i did that once with a bed rack.....the finish didnt last since i was impatient but this bumper is following all the same procedures as the hc....which has been really good at holding up

 

I'd love to travel the country. I'd be willing to pull little man out of school and home school him. I think that actually going and seeing all the stuff you read about in the history books is a better lesson than reading about it and looking at the pics in a book. Wife could do travel nurse and do it but I'm kinda stuck with what I chose to do. If I could find something to work remotely and make what I do now or more I'd be all over it. I'd love for him to have the opportunity to travel like that. I think it would be a great experience and he'd love it. Tbh I don't think he would even mind leaving the school behind. He has some friends there but he never does anything with them other than at school. He doesn't;t play with any of the kids in the neighborhood either. There's a couple that moved in finally around his age but it's been so long that he didn't have any kids to play with that he doesn't really care that much about it. He'd rather sit around and watch youtube or reading about stuff learning cool things.

I never traveled as a kid - just video games, besides back to asia to visit relatives......I think I turned out well lol

BUT I agree, with all the places I traveled to in my later years is something I wish I had seen or wish I was exposed to by my parents

 

The bedrack sat overnight before it got put on the truck after primer and paint. It's held up very well. Bumper did the same way when it got painted and it's held up good except for the rock chips. Needs painting again after 3.5 years now. Rock sliders are due for their paint also. I build all of mine while I was working. Even installed the lift at work in the bay. lol

Well little man is moving up to Boy Scouts on the 23rd. Last night we were told that he needs to attend a Scout meeting before they move up so that's planned for Tuesday. He moves up then the first camping trip is next month. Weekend after that we're going camping in FL. Looks like March is going to be a great camping month. Plus saltwater fishing FTW!

 

That wouldn't get the family and the camper around the country.

Actually I wouldn't care to be a driver. I love driving but just not in that way. I'm sure I've driven well over a million miles (with close to half of that in Toyota's).

 

I'd love to be an official member, but don't have the money for the fee to join as I'm trying to save up the issues with my truck. I'm sure something else will break after I fix my headlights.


Edit: in the very near future, I'll join and help you advertise the organization down here in the Valley.

They bought 1 F450 about 2 years ago. The first year it was in the shop about 4 months out of the year. They have 2 coming in this time. Not really a fan of the smaller trucks. With the big trucks you can see all around it. The F450’s been wrecked twice cause they couldn’t see over the hood. Plus hitting a deer at 80 out here I’d rather be in a International. Oh well, 8.5 years and they can have this bs.

Question: my 33s throw off my speedometer by a couple miles per hr, as in, when it says I'm going 40, I'm actually going 42. This would in turn mean that I travel more miles than what the odometer says correct? So ny gas mileage is going to be slightly better than what it says on the dash, right?
