My daughter is 14 and thankfully hasn't started dating yet (as far as I know :spy:).

I think the word got out among her potential suitors, that I don't have a moral block when it comes to killing someone... :drevil:

Karate, archery, scouts, rock climbing, and I want to get him back into piano lessons. Can’t get in trouble if we keep him busy.

You think I’m going to be taking out the trash forever?

Both of you are in a position I would not want to be. Hat's off to you. :hattip:

I have 3 kids, youngest 2 are both 27 and I have a 1 year old grandson. I don't think I could survive raising kids again.

I feel generally feel old and dim witted in comparison to my parents.

Mom and him married at 18, has my sister and I both in their early 20's. Mom was a nurse for roughly 50 years, she was the president of the nursing department at the college. Dad entered the military at 18, retired at 38 with full pension, went to college to be come an accountant, had second 20+ career from which he is now retired. They had my sister and I young with the plan that they wold be young enough to enjoy their children and grand children. They now have 2 children, 9 grandchildren, and 8 great grand children. He & Mom are considering selling their house to buy a bigger and better RV and live in it where ever the F they want from one day to the next.

They were sharper and thinking way farther ahead at 18 them me at 50...... OR maybe they just tell a good story.o_O

Either way guys... enjoy them and their youth. They can keep you young at least for a while, one day they may be taking care of you!!:cheers:

Our youngest daughter promised we would both be well cared for.

Best accommodations possible with adjoining cardboard boxes in the alley behind Shady Acres.

She was joking.... I hope. :fingerscrossed:

He wants to do bjj but I want him to continue with karate for a bit more. In a year or so we will consider it. He’s really getting into climbing and going wheeling with his old man which has lowered the volume of requests for a dirt bike. He has a heart full of try, just wish I had the health to match it.

He’s still a bit wobbly on the bicycle hence my hesitation. Plus when he gets one his father is going to need a new one so...

The grappling needs to be learned, and he wants it. My issue is that my mother is showing him pictures of all the crazy stuff I did as a kid and he wants to do it all.

I used to do rough stock as a kid and he wants it too but I’ve refused. I have so many back and hip problem from that that I just can’t see him go through it.

He already wants to go skydiving, desert kayaking, and rebuild and fly my old autogyro that I inherited and flew. Mom had to dig out her old VCR to show him that. Boy has very little fear and if he sees that I did it when I was younger then he reckons he can do it too. The difference is that I always had a suitable amount of fear which helped me when it was time to say “no thanks.”

It is awesome to see him want to do all of it and be like his old man, I just want him to pace himself. My wife on the other hand, hates that my mother shows him that stuff because she wants to wrap him in pillows.

A California man has been found guilty of fatally assaulting an 85-year-old man because the victim did not leave enough space next to his car when parking at a gas station.

    6.jpg

Larry Ray Richey, 21, of Rio Linda, California, broke down sobbing with his head in his hands while in court Tuesday as the jury read its guilty verdict for one count of felony elder abuse and one count of battery causing great bodily injury for attacking his victim, Lawrence Windham, on December 12, 2016, the Sacramento Bee reported.

Prosecutors say the victim had been pumping gas at a Sacramento gas station shortly before 1 p.m. when Richey repeatedly punched him in the face.

The force of the blow caused Windham to break his jaw in two different places.

Windham refused medical attention at the time, saying he was traveling to a doctor’s appointment. Once Windham returned to his home several hours later, he said he felt some discomfort and died from his injuries that evening.

Windham’s college-age granddaughter told KTXL in a December 2016 interview that her grandfather was a “wise” man.

“I just loved him because he was so wise, and he would always give me so much advice on life and everything,” she said.

Detectives investigated the incident and arrested Richey a week after the attack took place.

The 21-year-old is due back in court for sentencing in March and is facing up to ten years in state prison.
