Ok, so today at work we had a meeting with the president of the company, that we were all nervous as hell about. I'm a project manager for a residential remodeling project we have going on now, federally funded lawsuit, so the shitty economy hasn't touched us.

We had asked for a pretty hefty raise this year, 2.00 an hour, (it's a non-profit company, so we would still be underpaid for our position by industry standards, but hey, its a job.)

My company has a bunch of other projects going on, which I am hoping to transfer into when my project ends in a year and a half. The problem being that my job is allready one of the highest paid in the company.

So we had our meeting with the president, he tells us that we are doing awesome work, has no problems with the program and how we are running it. He is allready looking to hire us out to different programs, so we are only getting a .75 cent raise, which still isn't to bad. Then he ends the meeting with, by the way, you are all getting a $1,000 bonus on your next check.

I'm 26, single, only have a dog to take care of, live in an apartment, and the only nice thing I own is my tacoma, so I am not really worried about saving this money.

So the want list currently looks like this. in no particluar order

    truck hitch/bracket/canoe

shotgun, currently looking at a Remington 11-87, used, for about 400.00. This will be an all around bird/target/slug gun.

Handgun, mainly for hiking in bear infested areas, my favorite that I have tried out so far is a Taurus .45 1911, seems to have the best fit in my hand, although I am open to other suggestions (although considering what I will use it for, nothing under .40 cal.

and anything else you guys can come up with.

    help, help, help

    Thanks

Save half, spend half. That's what I used to do. It's always nice to have some cash in the bank.
