Thanks I will. I am trying to connect it to the brake light switch harness. Off top of anyones head does anyone know which wire would be positive in this picture? Obvious choice would be red but just doubting myself and trying to avoid testing it with a Volt meter. It is real cramped down there.

Curious why you are trying to connect it at the brake pedal and not at the harness in the roof?

The factory wires were absurdly thin. I ended up cutting off the factory harness and using 18-24 awg Posi-Lock connectors instead. The headliner was the worse part for me and I’m never going through that again or back to the factory setup. My decision was 100% frustration based although I have no regrets.

Is there a full on write up for this? I've been following the thread and I'm looking to pick up the KC housing once it's back in stock. I want to knock out all my exterior lighting this year and this is something I want to tackle correctly.

I planned on taking a ton of photos and possibly video. But from the sounds of it, it is not difficult. Worst step is the head liner.

My factory light is all stress cracked, sealed with silicone & not worth saving. @mesojdm, do I remember correctly you saying we could just sacfrice the old light and install everything from the outside?

Yup! If you don’t mind sacrificing the stock brake light it would make life much easier. If you are going to do it this way: Pry the stock lens off(screwdriver, flat blade, etc) it is epoxyed around the edge so it won’t give up too easy. After it’s off all you have to do is drill out these 2 holes. Go slow and check as you go. Right behind the plastic is the posts holding the stock light in. Once they are free the light can be removed and swapped out:) here’s some pics

Squeezing 4 cyclones in such a small housing turned out pretty good..

You can see how it has a double lip on the back. The inner seals against the OEM gasket(like the stock lens) And the outer lip goes over the stock housing to look seamless.

Anyone have a 3rd gen KC housing sitting around that they don't plan on using? Looking to buy one, not sure when Stew will have more.
