TRD/ Magnuson 4.0 Supercharger Tips, Tricks, and Mods

Neat. They have an “HD” valve body for my trans. Was starting to think there wasn’t anything specific to this car. Course, I’m sure IPT could always do whatever that HD kit consists of.

I just want to make sure I get a good quality stainless steel bolt.

My engine is clean and very little contact with corrosives, so I may get lucky on the whole install.

 

The j-bung moves the sensor out of the direct path of the exhaust gas and it also comes with 3 different sizes of orifices that can adjust how much gas moves across the sensor. From what I've read, using the sims in conjunction with using the smallest orifice on the j-bung adapter prevents the CEL even in 2015s. Fingers crossed.

 

@White lightning boosted are you completely catless on your exhaust setup? How's the smell...I've heard it can be pretty annoying without any cats. When I install the URD headers I'm leaning towards adding a 3" h-flow cat after the y-pipe for the smell.

 

How did you make your Xrunner "AWD"?

 

Its a 4x4 lowered IIRC

 

I have one cat at the y-pipe. Same parts as @Roostfactor. It does smell when it's cold, less when hot. After spending what I did I just smile.

I used sims on this rig for years. I had great luck with them. They bassically just fix the check engine light that is associated with p0420 and p0430. I don't need them anymore because my UCON manages these lights. I recently sent them to another member here, but they didn't seem to solve his issues. I have them back now. If anyone is wanting/willing to try them on, I'll ship them out for a try before you buy sorta deal.

Yeah I think that is the perfect catalyst to set it off.

If I remember correctly all mine came with was like 3 or 4 springs and 2 drill bits lol

Time to find a good bolt on manual trans I think.

 

There's the tremec. If you like rowing gears. Between Seattle's horrible traffic and my knee I'll keep this trans with all smiles.

 

Yup it’s a lowered tacoma sport with a custom modified xrunner body kit.

 

Would be pretty sweet to M/T swap your truck. Youll need a 4wd 6spd ECU from a 2013-2014 truck. Part #89661-04G80

Other than that, a tranny, interior console, pedal, and the clutch hydraulic system. Probably a different length driveshaft too

 

Tacoma transfer case, or did you swap in a 4runner center diff?
