It honestly takes 5 minutes. Angle grind, drill hole, paint, reinstall light.

Wish I knew that instead of removing the fender bolts, removing bracket, reinstalling bracket with washers underneath, re-try snorkel- didn’t fit..

Harbor Freight, they're like $15 maybe even less. Not likely good quality but surely would get this job done and maybe even last a few years if you use it sparingly.

I might just see if I can steal some tools from work for the afternoon, if not I’ll have to go to Home Depot and rent some shit.

    *Chant* Rago.... Rago.... Rago.... :boink:

Using the hood mounts vs the fender makes a world of difference.

Am relieved I went for the Rago fab brackets! Surprised on how much less they stick out.

I finally got some time to get mine mounted. I refuse to buy the expensive 1 time use hole saw. So I used my stepper drill bit and opened up a hole in the center. Then used a pair of tin snips and worked my way around making small, 1/8” size snips until I got it all the way around. Easy enough and a perfect circle.

I also managed to get the upper bolt and but attached. It took maybe 15 attempts before I got the nut started. Skint up my hand fairly good in the process. It feels sturdy enough I may not use the rivets on my pillar at all.

My head doesn’t seat well so I’ll run a file in the grooves to open them up some more and may run some double sided tape around the top of the snorkel to help hold it, too.

Attaching the hose to the air box will have to wait until tomorrow. There is a pinch weld or something I’ll have to beat out of the way to get it on the snorkel side.

dang it keeps going up, still a killer deal though compared to the ARB one.

For some reason, I thought this was lower than usual. I admit I’ve been lazy with checking prices but I want to say it was up near $180 last time I checked

Hasn't gotten that high to my knowledge...there is another brand out there that is cheaper than the ARB but more expensive than this one, starts with a W I think...that might be the one you were thinking of.

This one started out at $99, several of us bought them at that price before they ran out and brought them back about a month later at $120 or something like that. Seems like they raise the price every couple months now about $10 or so. Still a great deal though.

I was also able to get that top bolt and nut affixed. With that, I just used 3M double sided to attach the snorkel to the a pillar, feels super solid. If it wears down or feels loose in the future I’ll use the provided rivets or rivnuts, but for now didn’t feel like drilling into the pillar.

Interesting thought about filing parts of the head, makes me wonder if filing a bit extra out of the rear rain exhaust slits would be beneficial.
