You in Hickory? I know he’s got connections up there. Wasn’t sure if he had family up there too.

I know it's just the old Bass Pro Winston scheme, but this car looks nice:

I agree that this is my favorite so far but my loathing that Teresa is letting RCR use the #8 has kept me from admitting it. JR was denied the use of it shows a lack of class from RCR and a big FU to JR in my opinion. I do like the car but it's a shame it will be in the back or in the wall most of the time.

What's the Theresa connection? DEI is no longer a racing team. I rode by the joint last Thursday and it looked pretty dead. NASCAR "owns" the numbers, so how did Theresa keep ahold of it? RCR ran the #8 for Hemrick a few times last year, IIRC. I'm optimistic about his shot in the car. I get the feeling Newman, much like Kenseth, Kahne, Larsen, and others were simply riding around for a paycheck to fund other interests.

The connection was that when Teresa got DEI she controlled the #8. When Dale left DEI she would not let him take the # with him. I assume RCR ended up with it after that.

Hemrick will have a similar season to Newman in 2018... Hes a consistent guy but he's not setting the world on fire. (Austin Dillon wins in RCR equipment in the NXS so I'd predict Hemrick will finish behind Dillon)

Figured I'd put myself into the trash talk fire. This is the first real year I can start real big... seeing my driver pulled off the impossible last November.

Big 3 schmigg 3... my boy showed them all up.

As far as paint schemes... I look forward to Darlington for that. Nothing like the old school.

Well, your boys teammate created the caution that let him back in it because the race was clearly lost but you call it the way you see it I guess. LOL....

    A wins a wins a win.

Hendrick was notorious for doing that in the late 90's early 2000s. It didn't become looked down on until MWR got caught obviously doing it to get Truex into the chase a few years back.

    It's called teamwork.

And at the end of the day Logano hoisted the trophy. So...

Hey man, I didn't really care who won that title. Not really a 22 fan but you either love Penske or hate em I guess. Glad for you your driver won and manipulated the system. Not sure that is the definition of teamwork though, LOL...

Not sure I agree with the HMS comment, I don't think the 24 needed much help in the late 90's as he was pretty much laying an ass whooping on the field. Back then I was not a fan of HMS so I hated them more than most. All I am saying is MWR was put out of business for it but the 22 was handed a trophy and hailed a champ after being caught cheating and running average all season. The 4 took themselves out of it by having RC suspended. The 18 was just off the whole day and the 78 got screwed. Congrats though.

Looks like I dropped the trash talk hammer on my first rumble...

Oh I know Penske bent the rules but at the end of the day I finally have a driver with a championship... I'll take it.

Primer... grew up an Ernie Irvan fan... then after he retired I moved to Mark Martin... so a wins a wins a win.

    Here's to 2019... let's do this..

LOL, no worries dude. We all give each other shit. It's part of the fun. I beat the hell out of the OP but the SOB is an 18 fan so I normally come out looking like an idiot and even though I am a dick @thewarriordinghy invites me back and takes it in stride.

That reminds me: FU @thewarriordinghy & the 18 this year!!!!

Yeah I expect SHR will be pretty strong. I am a #9 fan now that Jr is out so we will see how HMS rebounds. I like the way Chase carries himself and now with the hOOters sponsorship it aligns with some of the things I am most passionate about! I can't stand the 48 but don't mind the 24 & 88. I hope CK has some success with the 24. I am not a blue oval fan so that is where most of my hatred comes in. I respect the hell out of KB as a driver but can't stand his cry baby attitude but it is good for the sport I guess. I actually don't mind the 2 (now that Brad has matured a little) and the 22 and 12. Just have a long hatred for Penske so can't get on board with that. I was a big Dale Sr fan so no way in hell I am pulling for AD or anything to do with the 3. I don't mind DH in the 8 but have not pulled for anything RCR in a while. Shit, after last year hopefully anything with a bowtie on it can find victory lane. I suspect the Supra will be Toyota's car in 2020 and I expect that car will perform very well.
