Agreed. Clemson and Dabo also don't get the...I don't want to say respect, but maybe the acknowledgement they deserve.

In prospective, which fan base, doesn't want to be on Bama's level, when it comes to the level of success and execution?

What you don’t see in that ranking is # of recruits. Might have been 2017, Clemson only had like 14 signees. Alabama had around 23-25. Makes the ranking a little skewed.

I do think success on the recruiting trail leads to success on the field. It’s not the be all-end all success measure, but it definitely is a good first step to having a good year. I say a good first step, because after that it’s all about what the coach can get out of those highly touted recruits. Richt was top 10 annually in recruiting, and we had top 10 teams and won 10 games a year. Kirby has been top 2 the last 2 years. Even with the loss in the bowl game, the last 2 years have been “successful.” Now we have to see if CKS can get these top players over the next hump.

trust me, as an LSU fan I understand the recruiting well with no results. Yes, amount of recruits matters because of being able to rotate players, that makes Alabama formidable every day of the year.

I'm not saying recruiting and success "don't" go together, but recruiting (in regards to ranking, players stars, etc.) isn't the only thing...and not even the most important as shown by stats of class rankings. As long as you fill the positions needed, and coach/train them well, you can have success.

    pfft. mistake.

I think Hackenburg is going to start over Mettenberger for Memphis, but I bet that ones a close enough race I can't really argue for one or the other.

I was really Pulling for Murray. Wanted to see him back on the field. Tickets are cheap and they play at the old turner field in ATL. I might try to make a game.

LOL’d hard walking to my truck .. and then was sad because WVU has both the winningest NCAAFB and NCAABB programs to not have a title in either sport.

Jimbo, Saban, and RichRod are all from WV, too.

Hell, we ran Bobby Bowden out of town. Maybe we don’t deserve nice things.

for sure! just keep a watch on the Alliance thread and we'll be sure to post any games we might make it to in there. The games at Birmingham will be the most likely since we have members that live there.

The waiver is shit anyways. Let them all have it since players are the *only* ones not allowed to freely roam, and they’re not even being paid.

The reasoning behind the appeal is horse shit. If I were someone who had their legitimate appeal denied, I’d be up in arms. The NCAA is a hoax.

What are you going to do without the skullet Dana?

I think he pretty much personified WV (with the skullet and I'm drunk at 8:00am look).

Edit: it's all in jest. I've been drunk before breakfast too......but I will never wear a skullet.

To loosely quote the man himself, win some football games. Lord knows he didn’t know how to do that regardless of (transfer) talent.

Being further from the south than WV, it’s rich you’d have input. The most precarious dental situations I’ve seen have been SC/GA (god bless that tea, tho).

Also, what you got against being drunk at 8? Can’t get all day drunk if you don’t start early in the day
