For uppers, yeah, there are plenty of those.

Lowers: not so much. Kind of the same thing as the balljoints, really. The LCAs just aren't really a weak point in the suspension, so very few people make anything that isn't long travel. There are 1 or 2 companies that make stock length LCAs, but I can't imagine they sell more than 2 a year.

Good info to know. So you are saying though, that if you want aftermarket LCAs it's only beneficial for long travel?

    pretty much, yeah.

The few companies make aftermarket (stock length) LCAs but they are super pricey, like over a grand. That's a pretty penny to pay for LCAs that don't give you any more wheel travel. They're certainly stronger, but no one that I've seen is exceeding the strength of the stock ones.

I think I've said this before.. but I think that's because people who post about it are generally ok. People who's LBJs fail at 70mph are either dead or too shook up and probably sell/total their trucks and never bother posting about it on TW because they probably swore off Tacos after that. I've seen some old carnage pics on TTORA of LBJ failure on the highway and they are not pretty. It's rare that someone will post about it when it happens because it's probably tough for people to take a picture of it while laying on a stretcher and/or they don't want to relive the incident.

If there is still demand for it, they would be stupid to stop selling them.

But who cares? By that time, if you haven't gone long travel and full uniball by then, are you really even driving your tacoma? :D

And I still call suppliers and get parts for things like, oh, a 1952 MG TD. Market rules: a need WILL be filled.

Maybe I should have made this more clear My fault!!!

I meant call or walk into your local (or online )Toyota Dealer This was told to me buy my local dealer Parts manager I have been dealing with since 1989 Once a part number goes obsolete unless it is superseded it is gone.

This was only about Toyota Parts

Aftermarket parts will be around as long as it makes a profit and does not sit on the shelf
