    I’m in Boston for work and this has been parked in front of the hotel each night...RedBull Crashed Ice is apparently in town. Kinda badass but very ugly, can’t tell what the platform is under there...there is a winch in the front. Any guesses?4BFE8AB3-8333-4D5A-84A1-03069D560FA9.jpg5D042935-B462-4F3A-B8E6-1D8C01F5F966.jpg

    AWESOME, I'd love to ride out there. I'd love to have snow instead of rock hard, glare ice! Enjoy yourself.

    Yeah I remember reading about some issues with the earlier generation (I guess Gen1) when I was actually looking at them, being reeeeal hit or miss on longevity and such. I feel like they may put them out again in the future if the frontier remains in production...they're the same exact truck with a different body afterall. The optional supercharger is what drew me to the frontier/xterra when first looking to transition to a truck/suv. I feel like overall Nissan is one of those companies similar to toyota in the sense a vast majority of their cars/trucks are bulletproof and last. Obviously there's always duds...just like with tacomas of all 3 gens. I just feel like an Xterra would be so much more fun to build up a bit than a TR4...have a lot of love for them but I feel like they've gone the way of a glorified soccer/hockey mom vehicle. Like trying too hard to be a luxury vehicle but still holding a reputation as a solid build truck

    Edit: @Chasespeed I feel like those pre-2011's had a lot of engine issues as well or at least general complaints...can't remember if they made a complete overhaul between gen1/2 that kind of flopped?

    The gen 2 uses the VQ series.
    I know there was some complaints with timing chain tensioners/guides not getting replaced in time and causing damage.
    Mine were never an issue though....

    My company uses Colonial Glass in Auburn on Southbridge St. Myself and co-workers have used them and we are picky. During the winter they bring the vehicle inside while the work is done to allow the adhesive to set correctly so leaks do not happen down the road. When I did my wife's vehicle it was as simple as calling the insurance company and telling them who you want and they actually connect you to them and appointment is done immediately.

    If I remember correctly there is Roy's Auto glass in Webster also. Not sure if they bring the cars inside during the winter. I do know they have a mobile service that goes to you but I would be weary about it being done outside during the cold weather.

    I remember there being an issue with the radiator leaking/failing prematurely or something along those lines....this was a while ago when I actually looked into them.

    Yeah there was a flaw in the transcooler in the radiator. Joint would fail, and coolant would find its way into radiator.
    Thats why i said 2011 and up.

    Anybody interested in a set of Brand New white morimotos for $140. Cousin has a set he wants to sell. Fits 12+ Tacos and10-17 4runners. I assume 18+ 4runners are the same as well.

    I wasn't sure if it would fly but she didn't hesitate. We did go back and get a set of hand warmers to stuff down her boots tho :rofl:

    Looks more badass than the ranger or whatever with the can on the back they used to drive around. Don't get me wrong, it's ugly. I'd just be more concerned with this thing running me down than their previous versions.

    @LivinLoud at least for me:rasta:

    I wouldn't want to deal with selling all the rest and going out there then driving it back/arranging shipping. Then if people had actually paid for the stuff and I resell it... I dunno more I think about it the more I am starting to see what the other guys are talking about. :notsure:

    I like their gear. Sucks what they did, but I do like the gear. I’d definitely run it. Guess we’ll see who buys it:rofl::rofl: and I know a guy or two who is very effective at selling things...
