    A few.
Ive been considering getting back into a Tacoma again and currently own a 2014 Ram 1500 4x4.
I just got an estimate from my insurance company on a 2019 Tacoma Pro and then an estimate on a 2019 TRD Sport 4x4. There is exactly $400.00 per year higher in my insurance premium for a Pro vs the Sport. Im not sure if this because of the roughly $10,000 difference in price or another reason.

Anyone who currently owns a TRD Pro, did you notice a jump in your insurance cost?

Looks like the Pros cost more all around.

I was comparing TRD OR to Limited to GMC Canyon Denali... all had about the same insurance premium, maybe +/- $20 or so... can’t see why the Pro would be so much higher, unless perhaps more likely to be stolen?

Yeah in the event of a total loss the insurance is on the hook for $10,000 more. Of course the premiums are going to be more

Pro was also higher than a new 2019 Ram 1500 that stickered for 50K

That's crazy, you realize for less than $10k you can build a much more capable Rig than the Pro. I have no idea why people buy them. but it's your money spend it on what makes you happy.

When I bought mine new. I bought the base model 4x4 because I knew I was going to mod it to fit my needs

Fulls size trucks have extreme markup. You can take that RAM off the lot for $35k. You'll have to negotiate a Pro much harder to get it below that RAM sale price.

Lots of people are paying at/over MSRP for Pros in some areas.

Shop your quote. You never get any favors by changing policies within the same company and not being armed with information.

    1) State Farm raised mine when I switched to the Tacoma, so I switched to USAA because they wouldn’t match.

    2) When I move back from Hawaii to WV, USAA nearly doubled my month premium. I checked with AllState, Stare Farm, and Progressive. The first two offered the lowest premiums, and AllState was nearly identical to what I was paying before the move. Progressive was asking the same as USAA, oddly.

$400 over 12 months is a big raise if you don’t have any recent citations or incidents. I’d be making some calls / using the online quote system to verify you’re getting the best deal you can.

If you're sticking with the same insurance company for longer than a year, you're getting screwed. Shop around.
