I'm really thinking about finding a 120-130 bike for those days that you just don't need a 160/150 enduro bike.

Like this day grinding a lap out on Gooseberry Mesa, wishing I has a 100 or a hardtail.

If I could get a decent value for mine, I would think of moving to the carbon that was released last week. The part of me that killed that idea was the carbon SE+ is like $5700 retail. Plus my custom is not worth as much as I would need to get. I would build the carbon just like my current one (27.5+ SS 140mm travel)

You have a rad looking Chameleon too. I like the purple bling. It would match my other bike...

The rack question I asked yesterday was certainly misunderstood but thank you for your response. Looking for a rack like this for a fat bike anyone out there have recommendations? Need it to haul gearFat-Bike-Rear-Rack-Options-21.jpg

I have the Yakima. I got the one that holds the wheels instead of the frame. I will say it works fine taking my Giant Trance to the trails. I have even taken it on light off road and it is... okay. It rocks around quite a bit but doesn't actually fail.

A buddy of mine got the Kuat at the same time I got my Yakima. The Kuat is hands down superior in every way to the Yakima and is absolutely worth the extra money (though they're kinda in a similar price range I believe). The way the rack locks to the hitch is so much easier to take on and off and much more rigid. The action of all the moving parts is smoother. It rocks less on the truck while moving. It also includes a little repair stand.

I got my Yakima half price because my gf was a "rep" at the time. But my buddy called around a bunch and got that kuat for a couple hundred off. I can't regret my purchase because I got it so cheap but retail for retail the Kuat is the way to go. It's the winter still, I bet deals are out there. Don't be afraid to pick up the phone and call people.

I have a Kuat NV (4 bike) and Kuat Sherpa (2 bike). Both are the new styles. Both work great. You CAN put the tailgate down with the new style sherpa installed. You CANNOT put the tailgate down with the NV (2 or 4 bike option).

EDIT: disregard, just saw your other post.

Obviously there's clearance between the tailgate and the rack?
Can you post a side shot pic of your rack with the tailgate down?

My Scott Scale 27.5+ hardtail with a 130mm Fox rhythm 34 is a slacked out tank. I finally got around to getting a dropper for it this week that I’ll be installing Saturday. Pumped.

This was the setup in my 2013. Waiting on the camper shell for my 2019 so I can get it set up.
