Decided to do some burgers on the smoker tonight. So decided it’s nice out right now so I may as well give her a good clean. Man I guess I haven’t cleaned er up in a while. Changed the foil on my drip pan, cleaned the grated off on both sides real good, wiped down the gasket areas, cleaned the ash that had accumulated at the bottom, took the cap off the chimney and cleaned that up. Only thing I didn’t do was clean the outside, by the time everything else was cleaned up I figured I need to get the food on now.

Same here and it is usually only me eating so a point would be perfect. But no one around here sells just the point, believe me I have checked everywhere including packing plants :pout:Nice score!

Never got above -6° here today. Weather guessers lied. They always lie. -16 tonight windchill in the 40's below. Still waiting on that global warming thing...

But it is nothing like @Bigdaddy4760 goes through at the mines.

A jacket is always good. For both you and the grill. This morning

I didn't need a hat or gloves when I took the dog out. But I did wear a jacket. Even zipped it up..

I run mine in the cold all the time, but I also have the insulating jacket. Makes a very big difference.

Went to a bbq joint here, got some really good brisket. This is the brisket from there, but not a pic I took. Best I can tell its salt pepper and coffee grounds and a little smoke. Im not picking up anything else major and its got a good crust on it. Beats anything we've had at bbq places up here.

What's some good BBQ in the Dallas area? I'm going to be staying in Plano.

I went to one place about an hour from Plano. Called triple R bbq. http://www.rrrbbq.com/ its out of the big city stuff but it was really good. I didnt get to eat many places around there but looking at google search theres a Tejano bbq and more closer to plano...has 4.8 star rating. So cant be too bad. theres prob hundreds of places to eat around there...
