I feel at this point it's as good as USA Top Gear. Although I enjoyed USATG very much it was just catering to all the things I loved about the original Top Gear which is also as good if not better.

USATG was aimed for the masses, whether they knew anything about cars or not, while UKTG was geared towards gear heads who knew even the basics of cars. I enjoyed USATG as it was a had funny moments but was nothing compared to UKTG. Just my $0.02

I also think The Grand Tour is also geared towards the masses at this point. More about the presenters and less about the cars. Though funny can get repetitive and predictable. It's all become too popular and a ratings game vs being an actual car show.

I just about to say the special effect are looking better on the cars, ie the way the Jaguar transforms from stock to reviewed edition as he reviewed the changes

I agree. That was one of the best episodes they have put out in a long time. The story of Jim Clark was awesome.

Minus the two center lights I really like that Alpine. Let's just hope they fixed the issues they had in the prototype on Top Gear last year.

What a great episode. This is the formula that made them successful in my mind. Sure the funny car/games episodes are great but this was a great one

Yeah, I really liked this one. I've never seen them do a tribute to a driver like that. It was very well done and honestly I didn't realize just how amazing Jim Clark was. I really liked this show and how they ended it. Best Grand Tour to date IMO.

Agreed it’s been honestly lost in the grand tour so far
