I quit having feelings after the divorce apparently. Never really had many others before that I guess. OK not true, but the older I get the deeper they get.

My sons watched the same cartoons as I did for the most part even have some VHS tapes around here with them on. Guess I should throw them away at this point LOL. We also watched Red Green together and laughed and laughed which drove the Ex nuts.

Physical pain is through the roof with me right now, every joint but especially ankles, knees, wrists and fingers. And noticed the colder it gets the worse it gets. Was talking to a friend this week that was in the Army and he told me Ft. Huachuca in Sierra Vista is almost a mile high in elevation. And when you transferred there had to wait 30 days to acclimate before you could do PT. Just checked and it is 47° there right now. Just about perfect...

I didn't realize they had that much elevation, but from Tuscon to here I can feel the difference when driving.

We only got to the 50's today.

I liked the one below that, the 82 year old grandma in Mi. that uses a snowblower to clear her drive. She said she grew up in South Dakota so knows what real cold is, it is relative I guess.

Weather on the news is showing a lot of pictures that people send in of sundogs. I thought about going out in the morning and taking a picture but hard to find the motivation. Took one out the kitchen window but left the screen in this year so is messed up. Really need to get out early and catch the sun when it first comes up.

Wish I didn't know what a sundog was LOL.

Social Ice is going on downtown right now tomorrow night is the last night. Largest ice social in the State.

I would rather just watch the makers use the chainsaws on the blocks of ice when they make their creations. Now that is art I can get into. Until the damn people show up.

No offense to Dale, but Days of Thunder was a lot of the interaction between Geoff Bodine and Dale. They both liked to rub. Too much.

Stopped watching NASCAR when Geoff tried to take out Brett in the Inaugural Indy 500 race in 94. First year I was back in the States after 3 years in the Gulf that sandbox of hell. Brett ended up second in the end, Todd ended up 9th. And Geoff ended up 39th. I sat in Geoff's car in the early 70's when he raced Indy circuit. He used my Grandfathers garage and an uncle was his mechanic and they all taught me mechanics. Not to the level of the Navy though.

Geoff was a few years older than me. Brett was a year younger. Didn't know Todd well he was the youngest and just a young kid when I knew him.

My grandfather actually had the idea for the Chemung Race track. Eli Bodine owned the land and put the quarter mile dirt tack in and let grandma and grandpa run the concession stand. Favorite picture of my father carrying the checkered flag. When racing was really racing, none of that paved bullshit.

    DadRaceCar.jpg
The Bodines were either great Mechanics like my family or drivers. A few like Earl was both and they would boo him off the track when he would lap people. I shot this deer with his son on Bodine hill behind the race track.

Twin Tiers of NY and Pa. those 6 counties produced a lot of deer, for more than 20 years it was the number 1 producer of deer in the US and had more deer than any other place in the US.

Kindergarten picture of Brett and my sister.

    Sheri and Brett.jpg

Thanks for the memories, just spent a couple of hours going through those memories. Not that anyone else would care but they are important to me. Thank you good sir.

And I bet they realize if you drop a anvil on somebody's head in the real world it hurts (like hell).

Wife and I have a couple Loony Tune DVDs. She brought them in for me to watch when I was in the hospital last year. Kept my spirits up:thumbsup:

Hope you get to feeling better.

    Good morning friends.

Yup... I bought my daughter the 5 disc looney tunes collection. We'd watch them when she was younger.
