Figured I'd post in the photography thread. Within the last year I've become a little more serious with photography, I was originally into video but fell into photography after taking a photography class my Junior year of High school last year. I mainly take photos of vehicles and some landscape, but overall Im really enjoying it. Ive had a few really good photos that have been used by American Expedition Vehicles on their instagram and recently had a photo used by CBS News! The gear I use is a Fuji XT-20 with the kit lenses, the XC 16-50mm, XC 50-230mm and my favorite the XF 60mm Prime macro. I would like to upgrade to the XT-3 because I still do enjoy video and its more video oriented than the XT-20, and many more lenses I would like to test.
This was one of the photos used by American Expedition Vehicles and probably one of the top photos ive taken

How are you liking the 7200? I've been on the fence about switching from the 5600 mainly due to some weather sealing tech and control buttons that don't exist on this model.

^ Looks like the ISO might have been a tad high.

Maybe, I have no idea how to use all the fancy things I have now.

Please explain though if you want.

What do you think so far? I think the colors immediately look better than what you had before.

As far as ISO being too high he is referring to the "noise" or "grainyness" you see in the first picture.

This video series with Mark Wallace is a good place to begin learning:

Sure, just trying to help. There is a lot of noise (grain) in the first photo. This comes from having the ISO way too high. In general, you want to have the ISO as low as possible (I go for 100-200 range on most photos). Only raise the ISO when there is no other option to get the photo as well lit as you want it to be. If I were in a low light situation, I would lower the aperture first, then lower the shutter speed (which could lead to motion blur), and finally resort to raising the ISO. If it was light enough naturally, as it appears it was when these were taken, I would definitely not raise the ISO.

As far as I can tell I like it, I got Lightroom too so that kinda upped my editing level a bit.

It was probably 8° when I took those pictures which I thought might make it fog up but it didn’t.

Only down side is packing it and a bigger lense around, they take a lot of space.

Shooting in the rain right at dusk has to be one of my favorite times to shoot while on the trail.

The 7200 is extremly durable. Whenever i upgrade to a full frame, I will keep this camera, likely until it dies. I absolutely love it and could not recommend it more!
