We’ve done it again and forced Mat down another rabbit hole. The new FM with all it’s goodies has now moved from “very soon” back to just “soon”.

Hey guys and especially to those using Mac platform with windows built in. Any issues using parallel to run windows? I'm ready to take a dive into the dark side but I don't have a standalone windows laptop. Thanks in advance.

    I get between 4 to 10 misfires from my morning commute, about 15 miles. I'd consider 20 to 30 above normal. 04B04 1.05 91.

I did disconnect my battery for 10 minutes few days ago, didn't make a difference. I been on 91 tunes since OVT 1.02, never switch back to 87.

    I have a theory...

I have monitored my misfires on a few recent 35 mile trips, and have had few misfires (like under 10) and most all of those occurred right at the start of the trip. My truck came with factory tune 04B02, and I have since installed OVtune v1.02c(91), v1.03(91), and v1.05(93). So I have never transitioned from a higher octane tune to a lower octane tune. I'm wondering if possibly the majority of the people that have had misfire issues are those that have flashed to different octane tunes multiple times, including going from 93 or 91 tunes back to the 87 tune?

I’ve ran 91 octane gas since day 1. I had my truck for about 1 year before Matt came along. I’ve only installed 91 tune versions.

How can you guys tell when the misfires occur? I’m using Fusion, but am still still trying to make sense of the graph.

On fusion, if you have your GPS enabled on your phone, you can pull up a map and it will show you on the map where they happen.

What's the misfire pid for torque app? I couldn't find one that works in it.

I haven't tried to log the misfires. I just use the Monitor/Mode $06 and scroll to where the count is displayed. Then I glance down at it periodically as I drive.

If you have the Toyota pack, go under that to engine. There's one that says "all cylinder misfire count," that will show you all cylinders. If you scroll down farther to misfire, you will see the ones for each cylinder, and a few other options.

Edit: just realized you said torque, not fusion.....my bad.

My all cyclinders misfire count pid seems to always reads 0. My $06 monitor tells a different story.

It only shows it for about 1000 RPM, then resets back to 0.

The $06 shows the running total for that trip, until you shut off the engine. The All Cyclinders Misfire Count pid resets itself every few seconds to every minute (depending on RPM) as @ihatemytruck indicated.
