My wife got hit twice and never noticed till I pointed it out. This is the reason I say no to buying her a new car.

Honestly by the time you pay for a new bumper or sand, color match and blend that damaged bumper it would probably be cheaper to buy armor.

Option 1; if the rest of the truck is pristine, and you take ascetic care of yours ... obviously fix it

Option 2; if the truck is used as a work truck, off road a lot, or if you just don’t care, then leave it

Either way, install a front camera system...

Don’t fix it yet, every time she sees it you can use it to add something to the truck, once you have everything you want, then fix it.

Yep, just take household 6 to dinner let her know it's alright and then let the plan unfold.

How much does anybody think a full repair would cost? I’m in SoCal.
I’m weighing the options. Vs armor like a folks suggested.

If you have a DA polisher then see what it looks like buffed out.

A perfect fix is going to likely be a new bumper and paint job. Probably at least $800. I’m not sure you can bondo sculpt the bended bumper but you may be able to.

A heat gun may help ease some of the plastic damage but se very careful with the paintjob.

Doesn’t sound to bad. At this point maybe a steel bumper and a winch would make it all worth it. I’m gonna mention it when she wakes up. She just got home from the night shift at the county hospital. So she’s sleeping now

But won't a heavier steel bumper just transfer the force of any impact to the frame/internal parts instead of crumpling like a OEM bumper?
