Finally stopped all the bed squeaks and creaks. Credit to another member who already posted this amazingly cheap high payoff fix. Cutting board plastic 1/8” think cut into 2”x2” washers to go in between the bed and the mounts.

Had a 3inch lift put in today. Looks great!

 

Thanks! Yeah those headlights were atrocious. Plus the light output was terrible, couldn't see more than 20 or 30 feet in front of me. They also took about 30 seconds to actually light up.

 

Installed a Gate Keeper tailgate anti-theft device that I had painted to match the truck.

 

Did my 4th and final transmission drain and fill. Kinda felt dump as I watched it come out. It looked like new fluid...bright cherry red. Oh well. Bought enough fluid for 4...so I did 4. But 3 is probably just fine.

Then the real work. The instructions weren't very clear. Having to pull the engine heads and drop the rear end wasn't easy. But I got 'er done.

 

When you trim it, can you show us what you did to make a fit? I plan on moving some of my switches to that spot soon and will need to move the aux port as well.

 

Simple. File down the raised portion that I've circled in white. Not the exact same USB port but it gets the idea across.

 

it seems like just the other day... Back when my 2.7L/5 speed had about 90K miles on the clock, I bought the new plugs. I thought I'd wait till I saw a decline in performance or MPG before I put them in. Fast forward to this month, my valve cover gasket was letting a bit of oil pass, resulting in a stain or two on the driveway. So, a new set of Felt Pro gaskets and a warm saturday seemed like a great time to turn a wrench.
These plugs have just 177300 miles on them. They look like it was a lot more.
easy work on the valve cover and plugs, about 2.5 hours, about half of that seemed to be cleaning the valve cover and the intake plumbing.

Did a cmc on a third gen this morning for someone, had a TW luncheon and then washed my winch line and respooled it in prep for wheeling this weekend.

Installed my Clazzios today. I’ve had the truck almost 5 yrs and put 114k on it. Should have put these on years ago - love em!!

 

Installed Rago Fabrication bed rail mounts. Mounted a Rotopax storage container(xmas gift from sister) onto it. Planning to mount a water jug on the other side during the camping season. Solid mounts.

 

I made one of these talegate theft devices today, couldn't see spending 35 bucks on a piece that's only 5 dollars worth of steel, I made a jig so that more could be made, much better than a hose clamp
