I think Toyota should have engineered it so that when you went into Sport Mode, it automatically turned ECT off...that makes way more sense to me.

But it’s not sport mode, it’s sequential shift mode. Ect changes when gear changes occur. S mode just locks out higher gears.

It was a driving hailstorm so no pics. Best. Simple. Easy Mod. You can look at the ShiftsensePro video for help. Pull up console. No tools needed. Pull out ECT button pushing from behind. Remove a plug next to it and push out from the back. Plug in harness. I used a soldering pencil to melt a hole thru the shift collar. Then take a piece of hard wire and push it thru the hole on top of collar. Use a piece of tape and secure the wire that goes to the knob. Fish it thru. Hook up the knob to the wire. Reinstall the console. No tools . 30 or so minutes or less. Works Superb. Get one . You'll like it.

I'd really like to put this in. Is the kit still in the works?

Yes, I am working on this when I have time. I'm still building wire harnesses and will hopefully be able to finish these up tomorrow. When the kit is complete and ready to sell it will be available at www.tacomods.com

Crimping is one activity where having the correct good quality tool makes a night an day difference.

Or one of these nasty things... to expensive not to recoup costs through labor.

Yeah, it's a blast lol. Making one harness wasn't too bad but trying to make 20.... It's something that's testing my patience.
