The next big meet (Vote for your date)

Ok guys, so we chose that this is going to happen on a Saturday. I'm thinking we will have this one at or after 6:30 PM, it's just too dang hot out for early or late in the afternoon. If there is a different time the group would prefer please suggest one.

I thought that we could have this one at the F1 Race factory. It's a great place for everyone (all ages) and it's central to north, east and west valley. F1 has go kart racing, arcades, pool tables, food and more activities for everyone. Plus a big parking lot to line up all the trucks.

Only thing we need to decide on is the date (Vote for you date). All the dates are in August 7-28th.

If someone has a better place to host this one, please offer it up. But please make sure they would have the room for our size group and the location will work for everyone.

figured soo much since we already passed some of those dates

i can vote, but due to how late it is, i can't make any of those. the day is fine, but not the time. seeing that i get up ~4am'ish sunday for work

 

Um.. have any of you been to F1 in the summer before? Its UNGODLY hot. Just a warning for heavy arm-pit sweaters!

I know the main area does.

Any other suggestions for location that won't boil the skin off my body in less than an hour?

 

You have to wear helmets and suits (provided by F1 Race Factory)... and its balls-hot. Be prepared to lose 10lbs of water weight

 

Just helmets, I didn't have to wear the suits last time I went.

 

Really? Hmmm... maybe they dumped 'em. That's cool, damn suits were balls-hot!

If I remember correctly, it was $2 a lap. Is that still their charge? You should check their updated prices in the event that some TWers haven't been and have no idea how fun and expensive it can be.

 

i've been there and i dont recall it being very hot, the helmets make your head sweat but its not bad

I'll pass on the go-karts and go for something a bit more adult, with guaranteed A/C.

 

these go karts aren't your ordinary go karts. they are faaast. but hey if you're scared you'll lose i guess we could figure something else out

 

That's why I chose this place, it has stuff for everyone. If racing at 40+ MPH isn't your thing then there is the pool tables, arcades and other stuff going on.

Like I said, is there any other place the group wants to go?

Any date is good for me if it's around that time. I still vote for F1...

Not sure how anyone can say it's a kids place as for one, you have to have a drivers license to use the karts, second it has a bar with pool tables as well. It's the polar opposite of a fiddlesticks. o.0
